Tell that to Ascension Parish… now 4 5A high schools on east bank, plus new middle schools and primary schools all recently built

So obviously the catholic league was a beneficiary of the split

With an 8 team district that’s not many non district games
No Zachary central wm Neville Ruston stream or Catholic.

What have I posted that wasn’t a fact?
Catholic League teams have dominated D1 select since the split and went 22-1 in non district games this season.
If you read into it something different than what I posted that’s on you
Yall sound like Democrats

As an NHS guy that’s entire district is different since I graduated in 09, why does chalmette want to play on the northshore?

Here’s some facts for you….
In a bracket that is comprised of 7/18 of their own league and with only a couple of decent publics (Ash/Acadiana)? So it looks like statistically the math works in their favor of “dominating”. (Refer back to pre-split) Also, non district is mostly lower class teams with bad records. They don’t have to play Destrehan, Ruston, Zachary, or Central etc.
Which is it? Why do you keep flip flopping between Chalmette is the GOAT vs they are a poor helpless team who can’t beat 3A schools. Or are you a CL apologist?
I’m trying to figure out your exact position. You can’t ride the fence (sorry, levee in your situation) on every issue.

I kind of am… used to go to Rummel games on Saturday nights due to family in Metairie after I’d go to Chalmette games on Friday nights… got a cousin that went to Jesuit, and hopefully my little nephew can go there in a decade

Now it makes sense…. Sorry you were the one who ended up in Chalmette.

Or Brother Martin or De La Salle… those would be fine too if he doesn’t become an Owl
Whatever keeps him out of HC

Because we’re 1 for our last 51 in the Catholic League
The second plan came out and Ascension and Livingston got what they wanted, Warren Easton got what they wanted, Karr got what they wanted, but JP and Chalmette didn’t get what they wanted

Every team except Chalmette in that district can choose who to accept in their school.
You have commented about how other public schools in 5A are dominating.
Absolutely correct.
How many of those publics have to compete with 6 or more other 5A high schools for students?
The school competition market in Greater NO is different than the rest of the state.

A male student in BR area can choose their home public or Catholic
A male student in Shreveport area can choose their home public or Evangel
A male student in Lake Chuck area has no options
A male student in Laffy area can choose their home public or St Thomas More. They can also choose magnet Acadiana or Lafayette
A male student in New Orleans area can choose their home public or:
Rummel
Brother Martin
Holy Cross
Jesuit
Curtis
St Aug
St. Paul’s (more for NS students)
Further, students in Orleans and Jefferson can pretty much choose any public they want due to magnets snd charters

There’s multiple magnet schools in shv that a student can attend regardless of their home.
There’s multiple in BR as well along with plenty of private schools optios inline with what’s in Orleans areas. .
