Laughable he is a Bear. Coaches don't do the recruiting........ They may close the deal but they don't actually recruit.

Sure about that?

In my first hand experience, it’s both. “Handlers”, and the coach. Could post texts but not going there!

But what do I know….lol

Well now it’s 2025… Karr, St. Aug, and Curtis were 1-2-3 in the state to a lot of people. That’s a nightmare
Okay let's go way back to st aug's last title in 79..
Playoff losses
1980 Catholic league both losses to JP district ESJ 41 - shaw 18 and ehret 17 Rummel 10.
1981 35 over J 7-3 and ehret over hc 59-41
1982 Ehret way big over st aug - rummel lost in semis to ruston
1983 HC goes down to WJ and Shaw goes down to Ehret BI district
1984 Wj 30 something to 10 over J and St aug loses by 35 in qfinals after nipping ehret
1985 Ehret beats shaw in round 1 and BM goes down in semis to StMville on a dropped tying td pass late...... ehret blew out st mville.. but was second best team in la only loss JC
1986 10-0 shaw goes down to John Mac and Fortier blistered BM in 2nd round...
1987 shaw wins it.
1988 shaw runner ups
1989 BM runner ups
1990 shaw out in q finals J out in semis to catholic.
1991 No catholic league team won a playoff game
1992 Cro beats st aug and shaw ehret eliminates BM
1993 Shaw loses to dest in q finals and aug to wm in semis when they treated a kickoff like a punt.
1994 breaux martin and jesuit blown out in q finals and semis respectively.
1995 4 teams in playoffs only st aug advances past bi district.
1996 S down in q and j down in semis.
1997 S runner ups.. Jesuit blow out in semis.
1998 S goes down bad to bears. rummel in ot to desty
1999 similar movie.....

Well they don’t text deliberately lol…

Things like basketball tryout lists, etc…

They not saying”we’d love to have you at so and so high…” lol

You’re mentioning games from three decades ago

To really compare you have to take out Curtis, Karr, (and Easton)

So they provide information? I’m confused bc how do they let people know about events without providing information ….. is any and all solicitation considered “ recruiting” in your view

It as they joked..”convincing, not recruiting”..

He just can’t imagine a world where no one is afraid of the big bad catholic league because they are overrated. No one outside of NOLA cares one bit because they are just any other team on the schedule.

Truth is the split benefited them as they have less teams to compete against in the playoffs. The good 5A publics can and always have competed with them.

2012 Rummel
2013 Rummel
2014 Jesuit
2018 John Curtis
2019 Rummel
2022 John Curtis
2024 Karr
2025 probably Karr. If not, St. Aug or John Curtis

I’m not overrating them. I’m properly rating them

The Catholic League has ONE (!) loss to the rest of Louisiana as we enter week 2 of the state playoffs… that was when LCA beat Rummel earlier this season

Dude you just validated his post…. That is post split where there are only a few good publics in the select bracket. Please stop

The entire Catholic league fills their schedule with smaller class schools because they play 7-8 CL games. Save Brother Martin this year they actually played two decent schools EA and St. Paul’s……

Didn’t realize the CL clout is beating McDonough #35

I guess you are right about that… 5As should be expected to. I guess can’t say the same with Chalmette trying to beat HC

Because you can’t beat a 3A school?! you are pathetic. Tell your friends the coach and principal to just drop football all together and save the embarrassment of the community. Not like there isn’t enough to be embarrassed about living in Chalmette already.

Catholic-BR has been by far the biggest beneficiary of the split. They were the Minnesota Vikings of LHSAA 5A football beforehand.

Maybe tell the old dictator brawd in charge of the school board that the Parish needs more public high schools in the Parish instead of 1.

Chalmette never should compete in 5A. The perfect spot if 3A/4A
