And I can't stand Kobe but I give respect where it's due. He is a top five to wear a Lakers uniform. That in itself smokes Lebron's place in this debate.

Uhhh no to that! Stats are stocking stuffers. No one gives a shite bout em when its said and done. Just ask stockton, malone, barkley, ewing, miller. Remember all those fourth qtr moments from Kobe?! He was a closer and had a warrior's mentality. ....every game! Hell if you think about it, what we remember most about greats is them closing games and the celebrations. Your boy is a pansy people pleaser that doesn't fit that. I love and respect his personality but stop it with the goat baller talk!
This is such a mouth breathing retarded rant. Kobe shot 6-24 in a game 7 and his team won. That isn't him being a closer, that is his team being good despite his shitty performance

Lebron, on the other hand, shot 51% for 37/12/4 in his game 7

That is being a ducking closer

You could probably easily argue that Lebron was better in that series than Jordan was in any series ever.
LeBron was absolutely ridiculous during that postseason. He averaged 37.3/9.1/7.3 with an offensive rating of 128.

In addition, he had a PER of 37.4, box-score plus minus of 18.2, and a win-share per 48 of 0.399.

In the ECF, he averaged 38.5/8.3/8.0 and he had a game-winning three in game 2. Yet, regardless of his stellar performance, the TEAM lost so that will be held against him by many.

Ok, so where do you rank Robert Horry all time?

You clearly don't, but I know you reject the stats, or as some like to call them, facts that show how Kobe wasn't the clutch monster you and others think he is.

No, at least they weren't anymore prolific than LeBron. In fact, Kobe's clutch stats are worse than LeBron's. Of course, let's not let the objective data get in your way.

You watched the game last night? He got touched on the face from someones arm and went flailing to the ground like he get knocked out.

I like Lebron, but i just don't understand why he has to be a bitch like that.

He got poked in the eye. I don't care how big you are, a poke in the eye will disable anyone.

That's an old graphic. After last years post season Lebron was up to 13-26 in 4Q/OT last secon shots and Kobe was at like 10-36. The numbers may have changed some more, but this time last year when Lebron hit the buzzer beater with Jimmy Butler in his face to win game 4 and tie the series James and Jordan both had 50% shooting percentage, but James had made more.

Go to that website and you'll never have to have this debate again. He is no where near Jordan and never will be.

How many teams were in the league in the 90's?

having more teams means the talent is diluted.

having players from around the world means there are more tall players to pick from.

The only thing LeBron could be Jordan at is a tattoo contest.

MJ would show up to that contest looking like Kat Von D.

Wasn't really the most objective article.

Look, MJ is better, anyone that thinks Lebron is better is ignorant.

But Lebron statistically is closer to MJ in efficiency than any other player in NBA history. That's not opinion, it's there for anyone to see. Article didn't attempt to expound on anything that Lebron does well. Really objective there.

That being said, Lebron has pretty much no chance to catch MJ because he's already declining. He would need a resurgence in productivity for the next 5 years or so to catch him and that ain't happening. So MJ's crown is safe.

If you want to add a bunch of intangible nonsense like "clutchness" or whatever else you want to create, than you can convince yourself that the gap is wider than it really is.

"oooh the clutch factor, that makes MJ better."
"oooh the ruthless factor, that makes MJ even better."
"oooh the dunk rating, that makes MJ even better."
"oooh the marketing factor, that makes even MJ better."

The more nonsense you add, the more you try to make it seem like they aren't even in the same stratosphere.

You don't have to add any of that other stuff. All you have to do is look at the stats and accomplishments. MJ is the best, but Lebron is amongst the best as well. Can't argue either of those points.

Yep. After the final season in Miami, I said if he could string together another 2-3 of those types of seasons, we could absolutely have a real, legit discussion between him and MJ.

But that never happened and very likely won't going forward.

No he didn't.
it was an arm going up that grazed the side of his face. Not an elbow, just a graze of the arm.
They showed him after making a scene like his jaw got disconnected.

And it doesn't disable anyone. I got practically fingered in the eye once playing basketball. 3 days after it happened my eye still looked like I had just rinsed it with hot sauce. I didn't throw my hands up, react like I was uppercutted by Mike Tyson, or fall to the ground when it happened.
