The case for Lamar:

Lamar Jackson, 2024:

- 1st player in NFL history w/ 40+ pass TD & fewer than 5 INT

- 1st player in NFL history w/ 40+ pass TD & 600+ rush yds

- 1st player in NFL history w/ 4,000+ pass yds & 800+ rush yds

- 3-0 W-L, 10 pass TD, 0 INT head-to-head vs Josh Allen/Joe Burrow

After the Browns game tonight:

The case for Allen:

The Buffalo Bills had only 2 players selected for the Pro Bowl while the Ravens had 9

I think they are both equally deserving.

I’m fine with either but fell like Josh Allen gets it this year just from “Lamar fatigue” and his team having a better record. Mainly the latter

Lamar deserves it more but (almost a) tie should go to someone who hasn't won it before. The football world would be a better place if Brees had won an MVP over a repeat winner like Manning or Rodgers. I hope our Josh wins, no disrespect to Lamar.

Should easily be Lamar. The fatigue thing is a lame excuse to get clicks.

If you think it’s even close you have to give it to Josh after last years

Honestly I think it’s his and not even that close. He had games with Mack hollins starting at wr. Lamar had much better support and Josh just did more.

What Lamar did this year is just insane.

Allen’s stats don’t match up

You should watch the games and not the social media graphics. Josh outplayed everyone.

Oh, and not all the ravens graphics about Lamar have been honest, which is amusing.

Josh doesn’t have the overall talent around him that Lamar has.

Lamar has had 2 MVP worthy season and he already has 2 MVP’s. He didn’t deserve it last year other than being the best qb on the team with the best record.

So he got this years MVP last year.

Because you argued stat lines and not on field play.

Josh strapped that team on his back and carried them. Lamar getting his lil Xmas highlight walk to the end zone just wasn’t as big as Josh carrying chiefs into the end zone on a 4th down to win the game as an example of the stats not telling the story on two similar plays on paper.

Lamar has played very well. No doubt. Josh has done things on a different level, bringing a less talented team to the 2 seed.

The ravens were a Super Bowl favorite to kick off the season. Most expected the bills to miss the playoffs. Josh has put together a year for the ages.

Don’t care who wins the award, Joe Burrow is the best qb in the NFL.

This is what tips it in Allen’s favor for me.

Without him the Bills are a 4 win team.

And he's balled out in the playoffs.

This isnt a debate to me. It's clearly Jackson and he's going to lose because he already has 2 MVPs... and voters dont want Lamar to have 3 while Mahomes only has 2 and Burrows, Allen have 0

Question to Allen voters:
if Lamar had 0 MVPs in an alternate world, would Allen still be the favorite against Lamar's historic season? Of course not.

The bills points per drive stat is historically great

Their top 3 wrs most of the year were a solid WR3, the 8th(?) wr drafted and a career special teamer that at 31 just clipped 2000 career yards last week
