Cormier said "You don't know of me? You hadn't heard of me before this or anything." Jones said no someone just told him he was a wrestler.
Cormier thought Jones was being a dismissive dick and things just escalated from there. Jones claims he just had never heard of him and was trying to be friendly.

Holy shite! I finally googled Cormier to realize it was the guy that wrestled for Northside mid 90's.
That dude was a fricking animal even in HS. On a completely different level then the guys he was wrestling against. His matches were like snuff films most of the time...but shorter.
He was 1 of the 2 best HS wrestlers I've ever seen. Crazy! Sorry for the thread derail and personal antecdote.

All this promotional banter is just for show. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this fight goes the distance and no one gets KO'd.
