Seriously. Maybe now their public meetings won't be full of disgruntled fans demanding that they re-hire JoePa.

They'll just accuse the trustees of killing him

I hope so Spirit but of course the vocal minority is a loud bunch. The guy needed to go and refused. What else were their options?

Hate to see him going out like this. It's hard to imagine the Sandustky debacle didn't take a toll on his health. All his accomplishments and he'll be remembered for his failures.

This.

AP now reporting that the rumors are not true:

Great coach, but on the field achievements just don't eclipse having a hand in ruining the lives of several young men. Very unfortunate but that shouldn't be lost in his death. I'd say RIP, but it just doesn't seem right.

Disgruntled PSU fans = disgruntled Jarrett Lee fans.

Let it go. Move on.

We seem to have conflicting reports now... but the family spokesman says he's alive... so I'm going to go w/ he's still alive... for now

Very true. I have a triple whammy dealing with LSU and PSU fans and more recently Bama.

Yeah but we're talking about kids who will in all likelihood just continue a cycle of abuse (as many kids who have been abused do).

Like I said, great coach and glad he helped some. Unfortunate he couldn't do it when it was needed the most.

Don't even know how to feel. From the time I was born to up until a few months ago, he was a god to our fanbase. Just feel sick now.

Are you trying to say that outweighs him hiding the Sandusky incident?
