I definitely agree. I just haven't seen anything addressing whether this was or was not done to any degree? Has it come out that there was zero follow through?
Im just agreeing with him

Figures, knat is defending this dude.
I didn't defend or condemn him, I like all of you have no idea of what happened. My guess is that he was told of something in not great detail, passed it on the president and left it there. I really don't think he knew his DC was raping kids and just said "oh that's cool"

Not to mention joe was borderline senile at the time he was informed of the boy raping.
I have a little more sympathy for his situation than the guys saying rot in hell joe

Maybe if he stayed for 60+ years, and donated millions to LSU.

Read the legal reports, you'll quickly change your mind.

How is not cursing the death of an old man somehow me not feeling empathy or sympathy for the children??
I haven't defended the actions of Paterno. If I could change what happened to those kids I would.

I have taken the time to read the legal reports from this case. Have you?
No but I believe most of what I've heard to be true. And it doesn't change the fact that I'm not going to say BURN IN HELL YOU BASTARD!!

"joe, jerry was having sex with a pre-teen boy in the shower"
what other details are needed?

This whole story is one of the great tragedies. Just everything about it. So sad.

I'll just let rantards fill me on the details I'm sure I'll get the clear picture from that.

Well, I quit. I'm obviously wasting my time.

How vague do you think Mcqueary's story was?
"Hey joe I saw some thing in the shower involving your DC and a little boy"
"ok I don't need to hear anything else, I'll go report it"
Posted on 1/22/12 at 10:25 am to Toddy
He was an arrogant, pompous, condescending prick. And I would have typed every one of these words to desribe my opinion of him before we learned of the child abuse.
Paterno spoke so often about character and his was certainly revealed; he was a coward.
I'm glad he lived long enough to begin to hear that his legacy will be a man who put himself above so much else that should have mattered more.

I really don't know, do you?
I surely don't know enough to condemn him to hell an hour after he dies. Sandusky? yes, Paterno? don't really know.

he was an enabler for sandusky. and he was a fraud of a coach, he should have all the wins from the last 10 years taken off his record

Enlighten yourself with a quick google search then come talk to me, instead of blindly following what the slanted "journalists" report on ESPN.

Maybe in 02, but sandusky "retired" long before that because they knew what he was doing, yet they still allowed his access to the facilities.
