it sounds funny .. like you're denouncing those not showing Joe Pa much respect in death .. but you've certainly had your posting fun at the expense of strangers in death on the OT ... just comes off as hypocritical .. unless I misread something here relative to your meaning ..

hypocrites on the OT, not really shocking news there

Some of the bitterness towards JoePa is because he set himself up (or allowed himself to be regarded as such) as the moral arbiter of everything good & pure in college football. He proved himself to be a hypocrite and coward. And I'm not just talking about his handling of the 2002 shower incident.

and I might have missed something and read that wrong ..

my point was we could go through pretty much everyones post history and find something of a hypocritical nature.
Being a hypocrite seems to be part of the human condition IMO

I don't care if people show him respects
Upon his passing, I'm not. Just funny

Most people are not saints but i would also guess that most people's morals are above butt fricking children too.

I think all of this started taking place the instant the story broke .. his death is just a circumstance .. you'd have seen this venom even if he lived another five years ... you yourself made the comment to the effect of "good, the shooter saved society from a lot of problems" in the OT thread discussing the 17-year-old pregnant girl that was murdered by her bf in st. martinvillev.. sounds rather "moralist" too ..

Do you have a son? If you don't, let's say you do.
Let's also say i donate a bunch of money to a university and won a lot of football games.
If I knew your kid got molested at my place of employment, didn't do anything, and continued to allow the predator access to children...would you still glorify me for all the football games I won and money I donated?
Eta: what if the Bear and I were good friends too?

shows truly what a selfish prick he was. If he really gave a damn about those players he would have stepped down and let senior day be about them and not him. I mean shite Joe, you weren't doing anything closely resembling coaching at that point anyway.

I wonder how much of the truth will come out at the end of everything. Having lived in Pennsylvania and attended Penn State, i can tell you that the entire system is its own little world. Outside oversight ....what's that????????
Joe should have been forced to retire at 75 (like Eddie Robinson)....

Did i say that?
Let me clarify, Joe's morals weren't above allowing children to be butt fricked. Is that better?

actually I made a joke that said "sounds like we lost a productive member of society" after people were mourning the life of this poor girl who again no one knew. Which is pretty consistent with how I've always made fun of how people pick and choose who we mourn for and who we send to hell when they die especially when it's people that no one on this message board knows from adam
