just having a hard time trying to understand the opposition from someone that is agreeing with me

If you had to guess, is he clean or not?

So have I. I used that argument on page 2

That's pretty much not true.
Just saying that other players use too isn't a good rebuttal.

Irrelevant to the argument.
So that question is irrelevant to a thread on JJ Watt's potential steroid use?
I'll chalk you up to a yes then.
So you and boom roasted both have admitted that you think he's used, yet you have argued for 15 pages about it. I hate to get personal but yall are both clowns.

I'll try it this way, he obviously came outta nowhere in year 2, no one expected anything near 20 sacks. If you had to put percentages on things like steroids, "late bloomer", how would you categorize the percentages of how he all of a sudden got that good?

quote:Bloated steroid muscles, huh? Is that a fact, doctor?
his fast twitch movements with his physique is not natural. That's not just late blooming; that's something you're born with. Coupled with his bloated steroid muscles, it couldn't be more obvious
Like these?
Or these?
Or these?
Or this?
How do I spot the bloated steroid muscle?

quote:No, my answer is that I don't know. Maybe or maybe not. But the reason it is irrelevant is because you are attributing steroids as the main factor of his success.

That is the part that I disagree with. Reason being that so many other NFL players have taken steroids and not been near the player JJ Watt is.
You have been acting like he was just some nobody walk-on and the main reason he became the player he did was because of steroids.
And that's what I disagree with.
Clown.

Has anybody mentioned that he is 2 pounds lighter now than before the draft?

Just for fun, I'd like to see him get a surprise drug test.
If this happened the NFL would be nonexistent... Any person who has been around the gym or football long enough realizes that 80% of the league juices...

You do realize a OF and SS/3B in baseball and a safety in football have motivation to be "lean" whereas a NFL defensive lineman needs bulk? There are also different types of steroids that accomplish different things.
would you say this guy was on steroids judging by his appearance?

I would say there is about a 10% chance he was just a late bloomer.
I mean we already know he was a pretty good athlete coming out of college. We know that his coordination for his size, is also above average, considering he played some QB and TE on his path to the NFL.
So if people think he is a late bloomer, what exactly went right for him?
His strength & power have always been there, y'all say. Yet you watch the video linked in the OP, and you didn't see him run thru college lineman like he has been doing in the NFL. DId he not learn a bull rush until his 2nd year in the league?
Is it technique?
coaching?
increased strength/speed naturally?
I mean to go from what he was, to what he is now, takes a lot of explaining in my eyes.
He's A)clearly bigger B)clearly stronger C)clearly faster D)doesn't get tired
now I know these things can be improved thru hard work, but the jump has been far too big for me to believe its natural. My guess is JJ Watt has always been a hard worker, due to his upbringing and location.

well, the facts out there are A)Central Michigan was his best offer out of HS.
and B)He indeed walked on to Wisconsin's team.
He kind of was a nobody walkon.

yea, Jay Bell wasn't the same player on steroids that Barry Bonds was.
Crazy, i know.
