Let's see how that goes over with HSFB coaches in TX who were already rumbling to ban/curtail 7 on 7.

Dealing with street agents, he must be looking for another Jamies...Stop C: Fast Houston

It was a pleasure hosting new #GigEm Head Coach, Jimbo Fisher in my home this afternoon. Welcome to the great state of TX! ????

Given the current recruiting climate, it's no surprise that Fisher's tour of the Bayou City included a stop at the city's most prominent Adidas 7-on-7 team. Guys like Yoakum's Jordan Moore (currently committed to A&M) and Cypress Spring's Leon O'Neal (recent A&M decommit) play on the squad. It's essentially like a college basketball coach breaking bread with a prominent AAU coach. This is a very wise move for Fisher, especially given the growth of select 7-on-7 and its impact on recruiting. A&M is an Adidas school. In 2017, it's important to connect with the top grassroots team affiliated with your shoe company.

A snowball has a better chance at surviving in hell than banning 7 on 7 in this current climate of concussion focus.

HS coaches don't like the increasing influence and distraction of 7 on 7. that's why...

Jimbos first visit with a coach as aggie HC = was with a 7 on 7 coach.. not a hs coach - which is further pissing off coaches.

7 vs 7 is the "AAU" of High School football. I think it is the biggest component for the poor play of Texas colleges across the board.

Well then coaches are stupid.

Go visit a HS coach with 3 or his however many players being good enough to play at aTm? Or visit a 7 on 7 guy who has 6 of his 11 guys good enough to play there..

HS coaches in Texas created this 7 on 7 monster. Now they are upset they are losing control? They loved it when their skill guys could get reps year round creating the explosion of spread/hurry up systems they all run but now they are losing control to AAU it is bad?

So the FBI problem with college hoops probably extends to football as well.
How many players have been paid to attend shoe affiliated universities?

Spinoff of your shoe question: How many kids pick their college baseball team because of the bats they swing? I know I wouldn’t want to go somewhere I would have to swing Nike or Adidas bats over TPX, Easton, Demarini, or Marucci.

WTF? I don’t think anyone means they attend especially because they like the shoe. They attend because they are paid by the shoe company. If you mean bat companies are paying you have a point.

It was just a thought after i talked to some guys this past week that have to swing Adidas. Talking to some kids over this season, you’d be surprised how much the shoe/clothes deal the school has affects them. Some will strictly consider Nike schools.

I know you’re talking about AAU/Shoe companies being dirty/paying kids. That’s why i said spinoff question.

Well that's bullshite, his first stop was actually at Katy High School, the high school coaches with sand in their vag's are more than likely Sip's making a bigger deal of it than it really is.

really don't think that will happen in football to any extent... Does anyone even associate football players with a shoe brand?

7on7 isn't going anywhere. UIL is about to move to make it ok for HS coaching staffs to coach their 7on7 teams.

Isn't funny that Jerry McGuire addressed this issue back in the 90s?
