DP is struggling to get through his show. Sounds like they were pretty close.

From East Bank,WV to All-American at WVU. Olympic gold medalist.
Jerry excelled at everything he did.

RIP. Many years I had no idea it was him on the NBA logo.

That’s awful! Westcoastag may be annoying af but he has over 100k message board posts meaning he’s clearly looking for people to talk to and engage with/share his opinions with. You keyboard warriors are the fricking worst
Weird post. Nobody has said anything in the thread about the dude. You posted this as the third post.
Your downvotes made my cry! Take them back!!!

This is crazy…. For all Jerry west did for the nba this thread only has 2 pages. When Kobe passed we were at 50 by now.. seems a lot of the young folk on here don’t look at much past history.

One of the greatest guards of all time behind Jordan, Isiah Thomas, Magic, Kobe, Curry, Stockton

Wow, when you take everything into account (playing, coaching, scouting, administrative, and more) he is the greatest Laker.

Had to argue this… showtime would not have been showtime without Jerry.

They probably think he owned slaves or something.

Chuck Howley is the only player to win Super Bowl MVP on the losing team. They are both from West Virginia and both played for WVU.

The difference is one guy died of natural causes at 86.
The other is a rapist.

He was key to bringing in Shaq and Kobe as well.

It was hard to see Jerry West post the death of Kobe Bryant. I hope they're able to catch up today.

The 72-73 laker team still owns the record of 33 straight wins during a season. 69-13 and won the finals.
Dating myself but I recall when my Milwaukee Bucks ended the streak. The Lakers backcourt of West and Gail Goodrich was a great one and combined with Wilt was incredible. I also remember Jim McMillen but spacing on the fifth starter (Happy Hairston?). RIP to a true legend and a callback to my youth.
