They’ve all been fine with very popular performers. I realize it’s not for everybody but they’ve been pretty decent at the minimum.
The Dr. Dre one was awesome and my favorite of the Jay-Z ones.
I’m very skeptical of the bad bunny one but we will see how it goes.

There’s never going to be a show for everyone.

I just think the people that are excluded somehow keep getting excluded every year.

I was surprised how much I liked the Bruno Mars one. Knew he existed and some of the songs. Turned out it was pretty good.

The Weeknd too.

5 minutes out of life if I end up not liking the show.

If they did a country act it would be someone shitty like Jelly Roll or Morgan Wallen (and they would not pick him due to his issues and risk involved in the show even happening).

What you would really need is a super popular female act. Lainey Wilson isn't nearly popular enough to work. I think Shania may still be #1 for female country artists.

I could theoretically see a pop country adjacent act like Post Malone do it and have a country song with those guys as secondary roles for a song.

I've seen this posted a lot; what's so bad about his music? A lot of it is just normal arse salsa music. That's a genre that's almost a hundred years old.

I can see Sabrina Carpenter getting a halftime show soon. Pop with country influence, female, hot, just inappropriate enough to have people talk about it. Taylor Swift is never going to do one but I can see Sabrina doing it.

I don't think I've ever heard even a portion of one. I doubt I'd like it.

The 2 have largely merged

And yeah she may do it one year but she may already be too popular, which means she'd do it in 10-15 years when they are nostalgia farming Gen Z content

All the options being discussed are very talented. That's not a distinction of significance

I picked Stapleton because the critics love him because they like to say he has a “soul voice” and it gets to put the toes in the water while not having to go full bro country. Hence why he has collaborated with people outside of the genre and picked for soundtracks like F1 madden etc.

If to go just pop country

Tim McGraw is still active and has outsold Kendrick Lamar and snoop etc.

They could even do a collab show

Could do Stapleton then the post Malone/morgan wallen and then even shaboozy.

I may not even like all of them but it’s at least trying.

Imagine calling someone the problem simply because they want to be able to understand the halftime show. Nothing against Bad Bunny, but what does the NFL want the people that don’t speak or understand Spanish to do during the halftime show? Is catering to Jose in Columbia better than your core U.S. audience?
