You don't know who you are talking too. This poster knows more about a topic like this than almost anyone else on this board.

Having said that, I disagree with his assumption that Joe Pa didn't have any knowledge of what was going on. I just won't this poster to stick his head in a blender.

That's like saying someone who gets shot is an expert on ballistics. He likely has better knowledge on the mindset of Sandusky's kids but he wouldn't gain any additional knowledge of Paterno's deeds because of what happened to him.

True.

I was speaking to the Sandusky topic in general, but like I said, I disagree with his opinion on Joe Pa being completely oblivious.

He should just go away, avoid the spotlight. It's not helping his father's legacy.

Is he the guy who knows or played for Paterno? If so, I've seen him write, "I know him. I've been around him. I know he wouldn't cover up kid rape."

I trust him less than anyone else in this thread after a comment like that.

If he isn't the guy, then I apologize.

The whole Penn St. deal is like an onion. The more layers you peel off the worse it stinks.

If what the last thing I read about JoePa is true;that he basically told a kid reporting sexual abuse,"I don't want to hear about it.""Get ought of my way.I've got a Football Season to get ready for."

It boggles the mind that the JoePa,who was a Father, would leave the kids at the mercy of the Sodomite Assistant Coach.

Just because he was molested by a monster like Sandusky doesn't mean he has anything more meaningful to add concerning PSU's coverup

It's just a matter of trying to put myself in his shoes. I just think the guy is just trying to deal with this horrible situation the best way he knows how. His father was publicly admonished and fired for covering up some pretty horrific crimes. Then he dies. That's a rough few years.

JoePa's definitely a piece of crap but I don't think it's that easy to just turn on a family member if Jay knew him as a good father. I wouldn't be in the public eye as much to defend him, but I can't pretend to know that I'd be handling it any better than him.

Agree completely. If I was a close relative of joe paterno I'd try to disappear into obscurity and consider changing my last name

I'll defend JoePa.

Did you read the letter that Jay wrote? It was much better than the Washington Post writer.

JoePa didn't know about Sandusky...period.

Read the Clemente Report

I'm going to wait until the trial to figure out what/when Paterno knew. What I find incredible is that the day after Paterno is told by the assiant coach that Sandusky was messing with children, he had a meeting w/ the AD, VP for security, and school president. Those three have been indicated.

The school president Spanier, resigned in 2011, only as President. He is currently president emeritus, university professor, and professor of human development and family studies. So for the last five years, Penn State has been paying him six figures, adding to his pension and covering his legal cost, while he is under indictment for endangering children.

On a website that jokes about "dindus" and their parents every 90 seconds the "well that's his dad" defense shouldn't fly around here.
