OKC will regret not having Harden in a few months when they don't win a championship. It was possible with him there; it's not going to happen this year without him.

Yeah, the people who said that never watched Kevin Martin play.

Said this as soon as the trade happened, when the idiots on here thought he was in the same league as harden

Is Harden a top 5 player in the league right now?

Nope, but he's pretty great. Still needs to improve defense a lot though.

There were MVP chants in Toyota Center last night. Obviously, those were hyped homer fans, but what where do the Rockets have to finish the season in order for Harden to be considered for MVP. He has been pretty valuable to the Rockets. I just don't think he has the Lebron factor around the league just yet.

There is no way he will get first place votes with the year LeBron is having but he'd be there with Parker and Melo behind Durant and Paul IMO.

I already miss the other thread, I'm shocked that Arkansas fan still hasn't shown up

Got to go to Toyota Center tonight, really impressed with Harden, they just could not guard him. On top of that OKC hardly made him go to his right all night, gave him his strong side and he was unguardable. Lin played a hell of game tonight, but the guy i was impressed with was Parsons (sp) before he got hurt he had a great game going. First time seeing Durant and Westbrook in person, KD got injured a bit in the first and was mostly a facilitator most of the night, but Westbrook is crazy athletic. Great game to go to!

WTF is this?

Also, at the guy making such a bold statement that a team that lost 4-1 would have won a series if 1 player played better. They may have had a chance if they play defense.

Why is asking if Harden is a top 5 player right now funny?

He's averaging like 27 points per game, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

He's 5th in the league in scoring behind Durant, LeBron, Carmelo, and Kobe.

His defense needs some work, but asking if he is top 5 right now is a legit question.

Becuase he is a product of being the focal point of a very high powered offense. He compiles stats against teams with bad defenses. His defense is laughable (the whole team actually).

He is definitely a top 5 shooting gaurd, but not a top 5 player. I would probably put him at 3rd. Kobe, Wade, Harden, Paul George, AI/Joe Johnson.

To say it's laughable that he's top 5 is stupid.

You know who else plays in a high-powered offense? Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. Tony Parker, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. GARBAGE STATS.

Houston is ranked 10th overall defensively and OKC is 12th.

Ok, in no particular order: Lebron, Wade, Anthony, CP3, Kobe, Durant. Is he better than any of these guys?

On par with Wade and Kobe. Better than Melo.

Especially in terms of value. No way would I take Kobe, Wade, or Melo over Harden. Dude is averaging 26, 6, and 5 in his first year as a starter.

Turn away from NBA2K13, examine their numbers, and then come back to the thread.

Kevin durant, kobe, and lebron all get those stats while having to share the ball with other superstars. Harden does not (if you say lin il fricking stab you).
