From April of 2014, when that 11 minute lowlight video came out and went viral, it's been cool to constantly rag on Harden's defense.
Before then, he was just another "meh" defensive player. Now, every little mistake is pointed out and criticized, unlike with other players.

You can find random videos for all players. But it didn't really get big until that video came out.
Just look at the google trends:
Before October of 2013 (when he joined the Rockets), there was nothing. It exploded after April 2014:

But the real explosion didn't happen until April 2014.
Ever since he joined the Rockets, then it really exploded after that video.
I have clear eyes here. As a Rockets fan, this has been talked about a lot. We all remember when this started. Ask any Rockets fan here and I'm sure they can tell you.
