The running back knew he messed up when he reached the endzone. Looks like he wanted to go down but it was too late.

Because he was told on the sidelines. Teammate even tried to stop him.

pretty sure with one timeout you can’t kneel it down to 0

Teams have to be more aggressive in kneeling the clock into situations where they not just run out the time, but depending on where they are on the field, leaving a few seconds with no timeouts
