He was supposed to be their hero that beats the bad man Chase out as WR1 because he didn’t opt out. They had this imaginary scenario that teams were gonna go “man I really respect how much this kid fought for LSU, that selfish chase guy I don’t want. He might go undrafted”
Then when he went “why am I risking my payday for the chance to making the outback bowl after I already had a couple major injuries” they melted

I think Chase cemented WR1 today. Pitts is maybe the only one pushing him because of his size

LSU fans were just mad he quit in the middle of the season. No one ever pretended he wasn't awesome before that. Him being awesome was a big reason LSU fans were upset about him not finishing the season. He had been, by far, our best player up to that point

GREAT day.
Showed us what people on the Rant couldn't see, he's an elite athlete. I hope they put him in a rover OLB role that gets to rush the passer a good bit and cover fast receiving TEs. If they do, he will excel. That is a very valuable position in the modern NFL.

yeah when Stevens was still in HS i said he should play coverage LB. it's no shock that making him more of a rover/LB in 19 made him finally live up to that athletic potential, and in any other more DB-centric role he wasn't nearly as great

If NFL Radio analysis and mock drafts are any indicator, Waddle will also get taken over Smith like Ruggs did over Jeudy.
