Vandy already laying off its AD's communications department in anticipation of the season being cancelled.

Thats not at all what it says. They are doing it because of they have to cut back, it doesnt have to do with college football being cancelled. All employees are allowed to reapply for positions in september, doubt they would be doing that if they expected football to be cancelled

The Nerds are scared

Let's remember there's an epidemic out there, and there are no prisoners taken. Remember, too, football is just an extracurricular activity, not worth taking health chances over. What will happen if played is that two days before the Alabama-LSU game twenty LSU (or Alabama) players will have been exposed in the locker room and put on quarantine for the game. Nothing meaningful will be decided.

If they went that route you would not have football in 2022 either.You would nt have three things necessary.

1. In shape players or any with any experience. Higg school kids are already beibg denied gym access at the schools
2. Assistant Coaches. After 2 years in limbo there will be no money
3. The financial structure will have been obliterated
