It's accurate and perfectly fair to say Harbaugh has underachieved in 2/3 years at UM

But the MSB narrative I don't understand is the idea that he was an "overrated hire"

In 2014, Jim Harbaugh had one of the most impressive resumes of anyone in the market that year

You can simultaneously think he has been underwhelming so far and also think he was absolutely the best option at the time of his hiring

I don't recall anyone in 2014 calling him an overrated hire

I don't know. Weren't they predicted to lose 3-4 games this season anyhow with all the personnel losses?

Yes

They were projected to go 9-3/8-4

But the way they lost is the issue

He's doing just fine. 1-5 versus MSU and Ohio State is fine by most of us.

He's doing everything he can to get talent that's not in the Midwest.

His gameday coaching though has never been stellar in the Pros NFC champ games or Super Bowl, etc.

I don't know what the hell defense he was thinking of today. Everybody backpeddling against Barrett.

What a gift.

Blame ESPN and the other sports media that put him on the same tier as Saban and Urban when in reality he is a 9-3 coach. Him being overhyped and all of his stupid gimmicks (sleepovers, taking the team to Italy, general weirdness) makes him very easy to hate. If he was winning national championships and doing that it wouldn’t be that bad, but you don’t see actual national champion coaches doing that.

He’s probably a top 15 or so coach but he is very overhyped. IMO he is the same as BK is at Notre Dame, except instead of being a douche he’s autistic.

It triggers you that black kids who grew up in grinding poverty got to go to Italy?

How is that a douche move?

It’s a gimmick plain and simple. It’s nothing to do with being “triggered” it’s just lame, like sleeping at recruits houses.

If you don't do kooky shite like this, you may get labeled as "not liking recruiting"

I can understand the sleepover stuff, but I don't understand why Italy trips are some horrible thing.

It doesn't affect you, it affects black poor players who could not afford to take any sort of vacation growing up

Lol the race card. When all you got is the race card (not the first time you’ve pulled it and it doesn’t even make sense since every P5 school is getting students of similar backgrounds) you might as well just give up.

O'Korn is garbage. They'd win if he didn't overthrow those few passes to move the chains

Yeah, the MSU loss was really bad. I don't think anyone's surprised they lost to Wisky, OSU and PSU.

Horrible? No. It's waste of time and money to bring out a bunch of faux students/communications majors to Italy.

There's absolutely no difference between the starting and relevant players
