Let's have a TDMSB meeting at the Georgia Tech game and get drunk and punch Paul Johnson in his turkey neck

I don't have the seating chart in front of me right now, but I can assure you that there are no blind spots.
unless those seats next to the press box are not going to be sold I don't see how you can deny what looks clear as day in the pictures.

There's an aisle and then a big open space before the press box. I think that would take care of any potential obstruction. I guess, we'd need an actual seat view to be sure, but it doesn't really seem to be the horror story you're trying to paint here.
I have no vested interest in this either way, for whatever that's worth.

horror story? wtf?
Where did I paint a horror story?
I simply said that Sophandros seems be wrong when it looks like there are seats with clear obstructions.
I also dont think that little gap is going to do much for several of those seats.

Oh F*CKING PUHLEEZ.
Another Tulane grad acting like he went to Harvard, Duke, Michigan, or even UCLA.
If daddy can pay the way, you'll get your "A" at Tulane.

Damn you sound salty.
You really think TU is easier than where you went to school?

Tulane already uses the parking garage at Loyola for events. While its not much its a 4 story large parking garage. Also up and down broadway avenue, as well as the Tulane baseball stadium parking.
As far as the students the greeks at Tulane and the whole student body will attend for like a half or a quarter. It will be a social thing for them, then leave to go to the Boot or Palms after.
There is no question it will be much better for Tulane and the whole Uptown area. Mpre alumni will come back to campus than the Dome, just how those people are. Cannot compare it to anything nearby, an experience like a Vandy if you have ever been on a smaller scale.
They will not sell out every game or ever have 20,000 this year, but at most dome games it was 5k-8k usually.

I think you are spot on with the attendance. Would not be surprised to see a relatively crowded Student section for part of the game before kids bailed. Gotta remember too a lot of Tulane students don't have cars b/c they come from all over, thus the distance to the Superdome was another factor driving down student attendance

If we sell the place out we'll probably only get 20-22 on a game day (more on homecoming) due to the season tickets sold to out of staters. The point of this stadium is to monetize football, which, per the prices, is what they're doing (presuming they sell those tickets, which they largely will).

The blind spots are not that big of a deal. I think they did the right thing in the stadium size exactly where it is.
There are a lot of things Tulane and Loyola should not have done. Both reduced or cut in Loyola's case athletics completely. Tulane should have never left campus let alone the SEC as everyone knows, but I am just glad they brought the football back.
In all honesty when Tulane played in the dome it was glorified Arena football. Parents in the uptown area will bring kids to games. Students will go albeit not solely for the football. And insane amounts of money will be spent by more jewish alumni, when they return to campus.
Just a cool fact and a what could have been. Had Loyola kept football and Tulane stayed in the SEC, you would have had one of the most bitter rivalries in all pf sports. Tulane would take the place of Vandy. Loyola and Tulane already participate in the closest college basketball game regardless of division. Their gyms are only about 150 yards away.

Just a bit of an exaggeration. Loyola Football would probably be Louisiana College level at best, even Tulane would find that far beneath them.
