With USC and UCLA off to the Big Ten, I expect FSU and Clemson to move any day now. Also would not shock me if UNC/UVA/GT/etc move to the Big Ten. This is what happens when you cater to Tobacco Road for decades

Big 12 just got so many kicks in the balls

If they would have waited ten seconds they would have just peeled the best of the rest of the Pac-12

They got commuter schools instead

Big 10 and SEC have all of the water-carriers, except for Florida State, Notre Dame, Washington and maybe Clemson. You could make an argument for a few more from the ACC and Pac 12, but that's about it.

Some schools (FSU, Clemson, UNC and Miami) are gonna team up and force their way out

I think it is.

Every school/conference has legal parameters to get around so I wouldn't be surprised if things were going on behind the scenes now.

I definitely expect more announcements before football season and post season. I imagine before 2024 dust will somewhat settle on how college football will look

Think about how lucky schools like Miss St, Vandy and Northwestern among others are that they were part of the SEC and Big 10 from the start. No way in hell would they be in the super conference if it was being started from scratch today

Schools like FSU and Clemson had their chance to join the SEC back in the day and said no - now they could also get left out and screwed.

College sports, like life in general, is all about timing

If the rumors are true, and the SEC and Big Ten are going to 20, I'm guessing that will look about like this:

SEC adds: FSU, Clemson, UNC, and UVA/VT.

Big Ten adds: Washington, Oregon, Stanford, Notre Dame.

Then the ACC and PAC pick apart the Big 12 to reload.

PAC adds: Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State.

ACC adds: Baylor, TCU, West Virginia, UCF.

Big 12 becomes the new American, and cannibalizes on down the food chain.
