Is this just a down year for college football as a whole?

No dominant teams because of so many early departures?

Never said that. Just seems like the top teams this year would get destroyed by top teams of other years. I feel like LSU and Bama of 2011 would destroy any team this year

I'll take years like this over past years with maybe 5 teams who were real nc contenders any day. If it stays like this, that playoff will increase to a rightful 8 teams as opposed to 4. Seems like more teams this year came to play cause we now know that having 1 loss doesn't keep you out if you're a non SEC team

Because there is a difference between parity due to a lot of good teams and parity due to a lot of okay teams.

We all know Alabama isn't nearly as good as years past, yet they are a top-ranked team. We all know FSU isn't nearly as good as last year, yet they are a top-ranked team.

There are just no really strong teams this year, and that is what people mean when they say it's a down year. Down in terms of really good teams.

Plenty of strong teams thanks to scholarship limits which is great. Just because there is no one dominant team doesn't make it a down year at all.

It sucks. Not in entertainment. Not in talent. But the teams. They suck.

2013 FSU would kill this FSU team and every other team this year. 2011 and 2009 Alabama would embarrass every single team this year. The LSU's, USC's, Floridas, Texas, would butt frick every single team this year.

Exactly! That's what I'm saying. Love my Tigers but in any other year I believe we'd finish with 4 or 5 losses

The 1995 Nebraska would skull frick all those teams.

And don't get me started on the Army team of 1944.

every single college basketball season.

it is GOOD for the sport that there are 50 teams can compete instead of 10. it means there is more talent and better football.

I think this year is pretty bad. you can call it parity, i'll call it mediocrity.

a lot of these are shootouts will cause the casual fan to nod and approve that everything is fine but defense just isn't as vital as it once was.

College and Pro.
