What do you consider prime?

Prime? No.

Third Tier and possibly even a few desperate Second Tier? Sure.

Not with his salary demands, but that could be said for lots of coaches.

It's the same reason tenured professors rarely switch universities.

Give up a few examples of prime programs, because I'm almost certain your definition isnt the same as mine.

i doubt it. i also doubt many fans of big time programs would want him. whats his record in sec games last 2 years? the "young qb" argument is getting old. im also dumbfounded by the personnel decisions (whoever makes them) got the hot hand?? SIT ON THE BENCH

Would Miles even be desirable as a position coach at a lot of places?

how hard is it to recruit at LSU after the NC year/success in a talent rich state?

Now not with his salary demands. He would have eventally been picked up by someone if he kept doing what he was doing at Okie State.

Explain why Miami fell off then, if winning and locale are all that is needed to recruit.

Most of the elite players in this class are from out of state.

Poor coaching was a big factor, but they lost a lot of recruits, too.

I think he is more along the lines of an Ole Miss and Arkansas type of hire. He would be perfect in the ACC.
