20 of those 25 passes are 5-10 yards past the LOS
Idk how he fared this year but last year he was actually third in the league in "air yards" per attempt (it doesn't account for YAC).
So that argument doesn't hold much water

Wilson isn't a game manager. He is good.
I still wouldn't put him in the top 6 quarterbacks in the league. However, he could probably run Seattle's offense better than almost any other QB in the league. It's just built around his skill set and the overall beastly talents of Lynch.
Seattle's coaching staff is brilliant. Lots of innovation.
Not sure Wilson would be as successful in your traditional offense, though. That's not really a knock on him. I would argue that he is a bit a product of the system he is in. But the system is a product of him, too.
He's just not your traditional quarterback. After Rodgers, Brady, Luck, Romo, and Manning (who are my top 5 in whatever order), he's in the conversation with anyone else (Rivers, Roethlisberger, etc.) to be #6.

Yeah he's not elite, he's good.
Saying he's a game manager is just stupid.
But this doesn't bother me as much as the Romo hate. Unreal how Romo is considered a choker when he has BY FAR the best passer rating in the league is trailing with less than 4 minutes to go.

I'm not a Seahawks or Wilson fan by any means but I do respect what they have accomplished in the last few years.
I agree with the principle that the Seahawks would be better with a "$10m type QB" vs a $20m Wilson. But where do you find that? They rarely EVER hit free agency unless there is something wrong with them. Look at Alex Smith. He fits this mold and KC isn't about to let him go.
You have to roll with Wilson. I do think he's an above average QB at worst. Very good at best now...but could possibly be elite too. Brady had a similar career. Clutch with average stats and a great defense. Amazing what skill plus opportunity and confidence can lead to.

Wilson now has the highest postseason QB rating in NFL history.
97-152 (64%), 1364 yards, 9.0 YPA, 9.9 AY/A, 9 TDs, 1 Hail Mary INT, 109.6 passer rating.

The big issue will be on the offensive line after he signs. Depth will be depleted as well. He will get his chance to prove the naysayers wrong. If Seattle keeps drafting like they do they won't skip a beat. Miss on a few... They will look average very fast

And he does this without any true Wrs.
and i'm sure it will be easy to get those "true WRs" when he's eating up so much of the cap
i'm sure it will have no effect on their ability to retain the guys on that D, also

Russel Wilson is a game manager. He is asked to not turn the ball over and not to lose the game. He is an average quarterback at best in the NFL.

I hope so.
I don't think he's elite yet. He's good, borderline great but he still needs to polish up a bit.

If you get to point out the hail mary interception, we should be able to point out that first touchdown yesterday would have been intercepted/defensed with a remotely competent DB.

Why does the term "game manager" upset you so much?
