BTW, I'll take Ryan over Flacco any day of the week.

Lololol

Saints fans rip on Ryan all day long for not producing in the postseason then they'd take him over someone who's won in the postseason every single season of his career?

Lol, there's not a single reason why you'd take Ryan over Flacco. Not saying it's a $7 mil gap, but it is most certainly a gap.

So, because Rahim Moore made one of the worst plays of the season, Flacco deserves $5-7 million more than Ryan?

Meh, they probably would have played in the Super Bowl last year had it not been for Lee Evans's drop and Cundiff's missed FG.

FIFY

There is nothing lazier and more ignorant in sports than simply ascribing a team's success to that of an individual player.

If you put Ryan on the Ravens this year, they're still in the Superbowl. Ryan is better than Flacco by every objective measure. Just a month ago Flacco was considered an average-tier QB while Ryan a Very good 2nd-tier QB right under the big 4. Is one game for each player seriously going to overrule an entire body of work?

Quarterbacks, like pitchers and goalies, are rated on wins and losses. Quarterbacks get all the glory when the win and they are also the goat when they lose.

Joe Flacco wins. Only quarterback to make the post season in his first five seasons. Real close to playing in 2 straight Super Bowls. Matt Ryan has won exactly one playoff game. Say what you want but the ONLY thing that matters in the NFL is winning.

By the logic of some itt, Sanchez and Flacco are the 2 best QBs in the league.

Ryan is a much better qb and it isn't even the slightest bit close. This isn't me sucking ryan's dick. Its simply that... FLACCO ISN'T VERY GOOD. Seriously, go look at flacco's stats. A thinking person could not come to a different conclusion.

Flacco('s team) who held the patriots to 13 points advanced one playoff round further than Ryan('s team) who gave up 28 to the 9ers. Is that why people (Saints Fans) think he's better? Do you think Flacco has more "moxie" or "intangibles" or some other bullshite?

Well if winning playoff games counts as an intangible, then yes.

Laughable statement.

I dont have an issue with flacco getting more $$, but not 7M more than Ryan (or even 20M per year)

So this means Flacco is the best qb in the league, right?

FTR, I hope Flacco gets more money than Ryan. I want Ryan to get as little as possible. QBs taking monster contracts cripple teams. I just think it is ridiculously dumb to say Flacco is a better qb bc rahim morris made the worst play in his career and baltimore is in the super bowl. That's like saying Flacco is better than P Manning bc his team won. Just bc his team wins a lot doesn't mean he is the better qb.

17,633 yards
60.5 % completion percentage
102-56 TD-INT
7.1 YPA

No wonder Ravens fans were clamoring for Tyrod Taylor.

he should use those intangibles to be a good QB in one of those 80 career regular season games. or maybe he doesn't have those intangibles. or maybe those intangibles don't really exist and good qbs are just good qbs.

when your typical season puts you somewhere in the range of the 10-15th best qb stats EVERY SEASON, you aren't very good... unless you have very easy-to-meet qualifications of very good.

career stats? haha those things mean nothing without some context. I guess I'll give you seasonal averages

quote:

17,633 yards

3527 per year. Average

quote:

60.5 % completion percentage

Below Average

quote:

102-56 TD-INT

20.4 TDs-11.2INTs

average-Below average

quote:

7.1 YPA

i don't know if that is good, or if it really tells me if he's a good qb

I'm sure his early season stats skewed this, so we'll just take his stats for this past season:

3817 Yds: 14th in the league

by the way, stop me when he's VERY GOOD

22 TDs: T-15th in the league... 10 INTs as well

7.19 YPA... 14th in the league

CMP% = 59.7... 19th in the league

QB rating 87.7... 12 in the league

Advanced one more playoff game than ryan.

you frickers are retarded
