The ones drawing fouls?
Yea any ol d leaguer could be a max contract player if only he was willing to draw fouls.
Can see some dude who just got cut sitting down at the dinner table with his wife:
"Yea babe I could earn 20mil a year for us but I'm not gonna do it bc the casual fans who post online won't like my style of play"

What gifs are you talking about reauxlie

The ones where he shoots while a defender fights through a screen.
Posted on 4/22/17 at 11:32 am to ReauxlTide222
Oh yea. Any player can do that. All the guys who wanna be in the NBA but just ain't good enough could be nba players but they just aren't willing to play like that
casual fan wouldn't like em. They'd rather bounce around the d league than draw fouls like that.

Literally all he's doing is going up through the reach when the defender attempts to go over top of the screen. Most players don't do it, because he's "attempting a shot" before he's fully past the pick and isn't really set for the shot, the likelihood that he would actually make the shot is very low. He doesn't care about making the shot though, he just cares about being fouled.
ETA: you're also being obtuse (surprise!), no one is saying that's all that he does and that he could survive off of only goading players into fouling him. He shows his talent in many ways and shows flashes of being very entertaining, but he also relies on this bullshite tickytack shite too often.

Yeah, I'm sure you loved and appreciated his style of play when he was with OKC.
Lol

Most players don't do it because they aren't skilled enough. It's all about timing and using the defender momentum against them.

What's hilarious about this is he literally avoided a WIDE OPEN lane to run into Jerami Grant last night leading to an offensive foul. That was a huge play in the game. Harden thinks foul first, score second.

Obvi not. But Any player who could draw fouls and get to the line like harden would have a spot on an NBA roster.

All he does is time the reach of the player attempting to go over the pick. It's practically a rip through and should be treated as such.

Yea and every other NBA player could do it. And earn more money and help their team win games. But they won't because then people wouldn't like their style of play. Right?
If not why aren't more guys doing it...

Most guys are actually trying to play basketball, not "let's see how many times I can get fouled in a game".
Most big men who struggle with free throws could benefit from shooting underhand, but they don't do it. Why? They could be helping their teams win by making more free throws. They don't do it because it's not "respected".

Yea guys would rather do what hurts their earning power and their team to 'actually play basketball'.
Again these guys are sitting down with their families. "Yea I could triple my salary. But I'd rather 'actually play basketball'".
harden has as much respect as any player in the league. Not respected is a clown show take.
Pop said he only watches film of harden.
Lowe said coaches say harden gives them nightmares and is much harder to prepare for than westbrook.
MVP as voted on by his peers.
No respect tho Huh Bubba.

It is very, very smart basketball. I don't think anyone will deny that. It is a skill.
It is just incredibly boring.

Because it's hard to go over the top of screens versus him because you'll foul him, if you go under he can shoot from distance. It's a valid strategy on his part, but it's similar to that hack a shaq bullshite.

Other people are saying anyone can do it. That's a bad a take as it gets. All the guys scrambling around the d league who would give anything to play one NBA game could draw fouls like harden. But they just won't do it bc people won't like their style of play do you realize how ridiculous that is. And the amount of money that an NBA team would pay ANYONE who could draw fouls on NBA players at the level harden does.

I don't get the fouling. He's not that good of a three point shooter this year to reach on those screens like he's Steph curry or something
