Gronk is the greatest TE to every play in the NFL. On top of that, he's an awesome guy. I don't know if he's the most "ideal football player," which sounds objective and impossible to really answer, but he's a rare athlete for sure.

Calvin Johnson has 74 TDs in 119 games
If he kept on his pace, Gronk would have about 103 TDs in the same number of games

It's not athlete, it's football player. It is a pretty simple concept - is Gronk the closest active player to whatever you consider to be the perfect player?

It'd be a great debate, but it'd boil down to sample size.
In 5 years and 1 game, with nearly a full season of games missed, he's accumulated 57 receiving TDs-- tied with Witten for 5th among TEs in NFL history; there is a realistic shot that he's all alone in 3rd place, behind a guy who played 17 years, and another guy who is in year 13, before the year is out. He needs 5 more to get high enough, and would need to have one more than Witten to hold it for himself, alone.

She's really attractive for a porn star. Good on Gronk. He seems like a cool cat to hang with and he really loves the game and appreciates all that's going on.
