Cool strawman.

Good thing I also said Hamm is the GOAT American soccer player.

Why are LSU fans by far the most jelly in this thread?
Is it because the only thing Louisiana is known for, Mardi Gras, was invented by Alabama? Sorry we're better than you at everything, but hey at least you still have your swamps and aquatic mud bugs!

It's literally the GOAT 45 minutes in athletic history, so it's pretty damn relevant in this thread

Hey, Eli Manning and David Tyree had the GOAT play in Super Bowl history. Does that make Eli(from LA) and David Tyree Goats?

Also, are you implying that Fat Tuesday was created in Mobile? If so, you obviously know nothing of Mardi Gras. Don't compare AL to LA, it will not end well for you!

Nope. I'm stating the fact that the first Mardi Gras was in Mobile, AL... because it was.

You said invented. The first fat Tuesday celebration was in New Orleans in the late 1600s. Mobile was just the first to organize a festival with the "Mardi Gras" name in early 1700.

Mardi Gras is french for Fat Tuesday, it's a celebration that catholics have been doing for years before a Alabama and Louisiana were thought about. You been learning a lot today!

He was born in Mobile and didn't move until he was 6. Birthplace is what we're going by in this thread. It's the reason I left out John Hannah who was born in Georgia even though he grew up in and lived most of his life in Alabama until he was drafted.

Babe working out in 1926 off season

While certainly not ripped by todays standards it absolutely contradicts your dumbass narrative.

No doubt he gained weight later in his career but he was 30 in this picture and not only did he have an off season workout routine he also frequently barnstormed the US and Japan during the off season to earn extra income...far from lazy and fat (in his prime)

He hired a personal trainer to work with him during the off season. He signed on with Artie McGovern, a charismatic former boxer who owned his own gym and trained other stars of the day like John Philip Sousa. Artie employed all kinds of methods with Ruth from running, boxing, handball, sprints, medicine ball throws, and jumping rope, all with the focus on strengthening the Babe's core regions. All of the hard work paid off. Ruth was in the best shape of his career prior to the 1927 season and because of it was able to set his long-standing record of 60 home runs. While working with Artie, he went on an extended run from 1926 to 1932 (from the ages of 31 to 37) that propelled his career numbers to stratospheric heights. During these seasons he averaged an incredible .353 with 49 home runs and 152 RBI at ages when most players were declining

Should we compare high school numbers to college as well?

I'd agree with Barkley if he was listed as the GOAT fat basketball player.
