All the while ignoring other players coming out and saying other teams steal signs, Boston and NY being slapped on the wrist, St Louis executives hacking computers to steal scouting reports and strategies and MLB openly telling the media that they’re going to start to come down hard on all pitchers across the board for foreign substances to gain spin rate.
But sure. The Astros are the only team in professional sports history to ever cut corners to gain an advantage.

That article kept suggesting that the Astros had been “cheating for years”. That’s not true. There is only evidence that the Astros stole signs during the 2017 regular season. That’s it.
But for some reason the idea persists that they had cheated for years.
And I understand fans are stupid, but that was an article from 538. They should know better.

If the 538 writers all live on one of the East or west coasts, then they won’t know better. They’re probably all Yankees, Res Sox or Dodgers fans. That’s not supposed to matter in journalism. But that line between facts and personal belief was erased a long time ago and journalism is dead.
