Should Cincy have made it a couple of years ago? What about TCU last year?

You really counting Trevor Lawrence and Stetson Bennett as "backup QBs' now.
I mean, that’s exactly what they were

He was not the starter for the first four games of the season. I guess I should ask the commiteee what the break off is for it to matter

He played as much as Bryant did in the first 4 games then took over as starter. It's not within a 100 miles of FSU's situation.
Might as well count Milroe as a backup too since he got benched that game.

Yeah guys are going to play through injuries or hide injuries and put themselves in danger. It is the absolute most ridiculous justification ever. Go ahead and say the strength of schedule was poor or whatever but to actually use injury as a justification is opening a can of worms.

I need a spread sheet to analyze this data further.

What if a player gets a high ankle sprain last week or the season and they are 50/50?

Will the committee bring doctors in to the meeting? That’s honestly a serious question

A teams entire season results didn’t matter because of an injury. That’s truly wild to me

And proceeded to win out after the injury. This isn’t a what could have been situation. They lost a star player and persevered through an undefeated season and conference championship.

All the other teams that got in had to do was win their games after the injury, FSU was held to a different standard.

They’d be the underdog vs all 4 teams that made it.

Yes and underdogs never win in sports. Great amazing argument, man. You just solved everything

I would be 100% ok if they went with 4 favorites/best

But they didn’t do that

And UGA would be favorites over all 4 teams in So it is or isn’t based on spreads?

Did you watch the games Saturday?

Georgia would be a favorite over Washington. Probably 7-10 points.

An underdog to Michigan.

PK in a bama rematch. Possibly a dog.

Slight favorite over Texas. Less than 4 points.

IMO.

So you are saying they didn’t pick the 4 best. Got it

Yet they’re behind FSU per the committee

Weird, right?

So a 10 point win over the #15 team is considered bad now?

In everybjther situation for the history of football that would be considered a good win. This year it was considered as bad as a loss

shite, when you put it like that it’s even more brutal. I’d walk into traffic if I were an FSU fan

FSU's backup was 12/25 for 124 yards and 0 TDs before he got hurt. Against our defense that gave up 700 yards of offense IN ONE GAME and that lost at home to Arkansas.

Lawrence started 11 out of the 15 games and threw 80% of the total pass attempts by Clemson in 2018. And Bennett started 14 out of the 15 games for Georgia in 2021. Might as well call Jalen Milroe and Quinn Ewers backup quarterbacks because they didn't start every game for Alabama and Texas this year.
