He was very lucky for that.

Was it luck or a good move by the Eagles?

Tim Tebow could’ve been an NFL starter too

He was a starter and won a playoff game maybe Hurts lasted longer because he’s better? You can’t just put anyone on a team with talent else where and win.

Oh I’m so glad you post this so I can debunk it thoroughly.

First of all, Hurts has been the starter for 5 full seasons. Why are we cherry picking the last two seasons when one of them he has the league’s leading rusher and the most rushing attempts by far in the league and then a season where the playcalling was turned over to an unqualified newbie who has been relieved of his duties.

It’s almost like the guy has an agenda and doesn’t want to reveal the truth of the previous 3 seasons. I wonder why? Oh yeah…

The two seasons that Hurts passed the ball the most - 2022 and 2023 - are the two seasons they’ve finished with the best scoring offenses they’ve had in his tenure. They finished 3rd in each of those seasons.

Why is this idiot with a WiFi pretending that the passing game is the only way QBs can contribute in the NFL today? Why are we ignoring how 8-10 carries a game? Why are we ignoring all of his first downs? Why are we ignoring his 60 rushing tds since he took over full time starter? Why are we ignoring the fact that he’s had 4 OCs in 5 seasons? Why are we ignoring the fact that 2 of his OCs got HC in large part due to Jalen’s ability to execute their offenses?

Let’s face it, this has nothing to do with Jalen Hurts or the fact that he is a top tier QB. This is all bitter, sad envy from LSU morons towards their “rival” who doesn’t care about them. It’s honestly pathetic as hell and unique to that atrocious excuse of state and fanbase.

Trevor Lawrence whipped South Carolina’s arse three straight years and you won’t find a single Gamecock fan who is ate up by what he has done with the Jaguars. Peyton Manning beat Alabama’s arse his whole college career and do you see any Alabama fans tore up about it now? No. Tim Tebow beat Georgia and Tennessee each multiple times some in blowouts and you won’t see a single one of their fans have anything negative to say about the guy.

This is why no likes, respects, or wants anything to do with your pathetic excuse for a fanbase.

Tl;dr: You’re a jealous, bitter dumbass.

I’m not sure how the Dallas game and the Denver game jive with your thread title. They didn’t “have to pass” in either. In fact, in the Dallas game he threw 15 passes in the first 19 minutes and was 12/15 162 and 1 TD when they were up 21-0. Over the next 41 minutes he threw 24 passes, a much lower clip than he did building the lead. Their whole offense just sucked after the lead and they had massive penalties.

Honestly a better question is why tf are the throwing so much in games where they’re winning - sometimes in a big way and/or late in the game?

Dallas game is likely his best passing game in a loss

However, almost every QB that played Dallas this year had their best passing game

Denver:

They completely stopped the run (number 2 rush defense) producing a game in which hurts had to throw

23/38 and led his team to 17 points.

Not sure why that one doesn’t jive. A game in which he had to throw he was terribly inefficient and led the offense to only 17 points

We’re talking about Denver? The team with the third best scoring defense in the league? The one that gave up an average of 187 yards through the air this season (Jalen had 257 btw)? The Denver defense that gave up 18 passing tds all season (Jalen had 2 against them btw)? The Denver defense that gave up a passer rating of 75.7 to opponents this season (Jalen’s was 98.2 btw)?

ETA: this was with the Eagles receivers dropping multiple passes including on the final drive and them giving up 6 sacks.

Just tap out dude.

Yes that’s the Denver game they only lost scored 17 and lost

His completion pct games where he had over 30 attempts

57%
52%
55%
69%
72%
65%
57%

He just isn’t a thrower of the football like a real QB. Is efficiency becomes complete trash when the game actually becomes about passing and not running and hitting set 1st option passing plays

That for his career or are you cherry picking again? What’s his passer rating in those games? How many tds did he score? How many drops did his receivers have? How often was he pressured?

You’re a very dishonest person, you know that right?

And one more thing… Jalen Hurts’ career passer rating is 94.4. You know who else has a career 94.4 passer rating? Josh Allen.
