5th in passing yards all time already.... He's easily better than Marino and Elway. He's a GOAT bro

Wait, are you saying that because Brees is the best at the long ball and throws short passed well he can't through intermediate passes? Dude

No. Somebody suggested that the stats on short and deep passes means he is great at every throw. I was merely pointing out that the data for intermediate wasn't included, so going strictly off of the stats I mentioned we don't really know.

There are some dense bastards on here. One guy mentioned short throws and another mentioned long, both of which happened to be posted on PFF recently. I never said that he performed poorly on intermediate throws, just that I haven't seen that data

There was a stat posted showng brees and phil rivers throwing the most near LOS passes. That helps increase the completion %.

Well he does hold the single season completion % record.
Guess who's number 2?

Answer: Drew Brees

Technically he could hold those records while performing relatively poorly on intermediate throws

If he was a little bit taller he'd be identified between 5'9 and 5'11

Not trolling, can you name me other elite QB's that would be considered one of the GOAT at his height?

If with his height came added arm strength MAYBE.

Dude is a top 5 QB in passes over 20 yards every year.

He has plenty of arm strength

You're both right. He's been the best deep ball QB this year, but he also throws the highest percentage of passes behind the LOS in the NFL. He's probably at the top for passes within 10 yards of the LOS too

Manning throws the most passes under 10 yards. A lot more than Drew does

He's #1 by a wide margin every year

He'll go down as one of the best of all times if he can win at least 1 more super bowl. Rightfully so. Where do these guys rank all time:

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Drew Brees

Easily top 10, but could all 3 be considered top 5 all time? People can't get over championships so maybe not, but I don't think Manning has to win anymore for people to believe he is. Brees will.

No. His height doesn't handicap him, his INTs do. That, and he statpads/gets a lot of stats from short throws. Don't get me wrong, I love him and he does go vertical with the ball, but he gets a LOT of production from short stuff.

This is a terrible troll. One of the best deep ball throwers in the game.

Brees lack of height has forced him to understand passing lanes, move in the pocket and dissect defenses with his brain. If you made him 6'6 his whole life he might never have developed them.

However, if you kept all the skills he had now, put him in Newton's body, and gave him Sean Payton as his coach since day one there's zero doubt he'd be the GOAT.

The numbers they've put up together are disgusting.

If Ingram would've ran behind a line that didn't get away with holding on virtually every down would he have been a first round pick, doubtful.
