beating 2 top 20 teams all year by a combined total of 18 points does not make your team a dynasty

i'm not making anything up. Boise isn't a football powerhouse. they don't deserve top 10 ranking

In their defense most teams are not all that interested in playing Boise
As a LSU fan I'd only like to see them play if it was at LSU for a big television payday
I see no return on taking the risk when LSU already plays a tough schedule, doesn't need to travel a bazillion miles when they can do easier to reach road venues at major stadiums instead.
It's just what up and coming programs have to do to establish themselves. Bowden did it at FSU for years until they established themselves.... they went to major programs (including LSU btw) and beat them on their turf

no you give it out based on a number of things and one of the most important is strength of schedule. Boise st bombs that category.

Well, Boise would have had a coach, for one.

I think Boise is a top 10 team this season. I don't think they're a top 3 team, though, and I don't think they deserved a shot at Bama/Texas

According to McShay Boise has one NFL caliber senior.
2002 was the last time I remember Boise State playing an SEC team. They went 12-1 that year with a loss to Arkansas (41-14 I believe). Arkansas went something like 9-4 they were the 2nd or 3rd best team in the SEC that year and beat the living shite out of your broncos.
Cincinatti went 12-0 against a Big East schedule that was many times tougher than Boise State's WAC schedule and they were abused by Florida. Hawaii came into the Sugar Bowl out of the WAC undefeated and got curb stomped by UGA.
What makes you think Boise State is worthy of a top 10 ranking?
Bama vs. Utah was the exception not the rule. Our O-line was in total disarray and the team was devastated after losing to UF. I know as a fan base we didn't care about playing Utah. Not to mention Utah plays a much tougher schedule in the MWC than the Mac.
Join the MWC get up to 12 teams and have a conference championship. Otherwise play your cupcakes and enjoy your BCS bowl you don't deserve.

I think Boise has proven that they can beat big schools in BCS bowl games.
They beat one of the worst OU teams in recent memory. I guess that still counts though, kind of.

That OU team wasn't on the level of some of their teams this decade, but it wasn't the worst one. At least as good as this year's team once Bradford went down.

Boise State beat Oregon this year, though. Pac 10 champs.
Boise State has the ability to win a league like the PAC 10. The question I would have is do they have the stamina and durability to play more than a few good teams in a season. I think the PAC 10 would beat them up a little.

So what was the worst one? This year? IMO they are about the same. OU had no business being in the BCS that year, and only won the BIG XII because Colt McCoy got hurt against Kansas State and again vs. Texas A&M, and Texas dropped their last two games.
OU was a three loss team but had only one conference loss (to Texas) so they went to the CCG and won.

I love this kind of comment. Like you are personally responsible for the revenue of the college. What difference does it make for any fan what kind of "payday" thier team gets?

Why would a team get up for a non National Title game when they were undefeated and ranked #1 in their last game?
There is definitely a let down when your last game is a loss and your consolation game is the Sugar Bowl. Much different scenario, and Bama didn't have anything like Tebow's last game or the Meyer "retirement" to get up for.
Also, 2008 Utah > 2009 Boise State
