Navy, Duke, AFA, and Temple have top 25 potential if things go right.
Army is a likable brand, so I'm going to put them between #15-20. They would be overranked by a committee who would rather have them many other G5 programs.

For the record...in the not so distant past...Navy scared the shite out of tOSU...twice.
Army will not beat tOSU.
Army will not beat Navy.
Order will be restored after last year's gift just to keep the rivalry relevant.

Are they a bowl team? Yes
Will they beat 11 teams? No
They are too small for most D1 schools and although they will be better coached, they will just get manhandled by certain teams because of the battle they will face week to week.
9-3 is the best they can hope for.

Under Todd Monken, they have lost to the following teams that they should have beaten.
2014: Yale, Kent State. Winning those games would have made them 6-6 and bowl-eligible.
2015: Fordham, Rice, Tulane, Rutgers. Winning those games would have made them 6-6 and bowl-eligible.
2016: Buffalo, North Texas (1st time). Winning those games would have made them 9-3. I'll even say that they could have beaten a bad Duke team and a bad Notre Dame team, which would have made them 11-1.
They are good for at least 2 WTF losses every year.

Navy has had a whole lot more stability as well. They've basically had the same coaching staff for close to 20 years (Niumatalolo was Paul Johnson's offensive coordinator at the Naval Academy)
The thing that hurts West Point football more than anything else is their insistence on being independent.
Air Force has thrived in the Mountain West and Navy has done rather well in the American.

1. They would have to give o state a game.
2. The strength of schedule with o state is still bottom 200. So a ranking will not happen until navy game. 20, 23. Some of that. Ahead of 8-3 p5 teams that could crush them.
11-1 will get them a ny6 defeat.
10-2 will visit memphis for a so what game with a chance to win their bowl. Presuming armed services bowl still memphis in late december.
Driving rain, maybe a snowfall you can measure. Same weather as army plays in during November. Lol.

He had them losing six and you had them undefeated. They lost three so that’s right in the middle.

Army is 9-3. Put them in the CFP. They've earned that 4 seed as much as any other team has.
