Until the first half of the 2019 game, that second half was the only time I can remember Saban looking helpless against LSU.

He seemed pretty hopeless and very frustrated for much of that 2016 game. Mostly with his offense.

One of not declarative “the”

One heartbreaking loss to a rival (on the road) wasn’t gonna sink that guy.

If Les ties him with 2 titles or even Richt wins his first, that changes the complexion of his legacy around that time. Until 2015, he’d have gone 3 whole seasons without winning a title and he wouldn’t have that repeat title to hang his hat on.

Non-LSU fans don't realize how traumatizing 21-0 was. And then to have a shot at revenge 10 months later and come so close... it was the ultimate heartbreak as a sports fan.

SVP and Russillo were field level and felt terrible for us.

I started watching the replay...........got fired up all over again,

THEN...........i remembered how this game ended...........got pissed all over again and stopped it.

1st time I ever said the F Bomb in front of my then 12 year old son.......when I yelled at TJ Yeldon.

Yea Saban’s recruiting would’ve fallen off a cliff for the rest of his career because he lost a close game to LSU.

Not sure how you inferred that and concluded it was logical

The 2012 loss at home was worse than 21-0. I've never felt so defeated and disgusted after a sporting event until the Nola no call game.

It was devastating as a student losing that game.

This.

And it still hurts 13 years later, but imagine how much worse it'd be if we didn't have 2019

you could have named the number and i would taken LSU ML live after the fumble then JC Copeland catch and run. Tiger stadium was exploding. As loud as ever has been or will be
Not to mention the bench going crazy. I've noticed in recent years how sedate benches seem even on catastrophically huge plays.

That game was the biggest kick in the nuts game I have ever experienced.

That year should have been Oregon vs Alabama smh. That game vs Stanford was so frustrating to watch. How many times can you shoot yourself in the foot

The greatest atmosphere I have ever been around. Incredible until the last minutes of the game.

Remember talking with Nick Toon during the game, (he had been drafted by the Saints earlier that year and came to the game with Mark Ingram), and asked him how did it compare to Camp Randall since it has a rep of being loud and he was just blown away, saying simply that Randall couldn’t touch that night.

Such a shame LSU lost that game. It would have went down as the greatest game in Tiger Stadium history had they won
