In the past, yes, but they have gotten a lot better at these lines. It was mid major football that did me in this year, more so than other years.
Then you suck at gambling and should quit. I made a damn killing betting on SJSU, Ball State, and Kent State.

Poker is a completely different game bc you're playing humans, not an industry.
You are a moron.
When you bet on sports you're playing humans because the lines are set with them in mind. There is no guarantee the house will win in sports gambling vis a vis an individual person. It's all Free Money if you can make the right picks.

I won WNBA sides this past season at a 64% clip and made a lot of money
It is seriously the easiest sport to bet on, and a lot of the sharps/pros in Las Vegas zeroed in on the WNBA. It was actually pretty fun sitting in the LVH getting excited with others about a late night WNBA game.
I didn't get ruined by betting on sports in Las Vegas, I left because it was too much of a distraction. I was always checking scores and such at work to where I couldn't focus on my job, would be pissed and mopy at work when I lost a bet, and was spending too much time at the books.
He's right. My friend experimented with WNBA and crushed it for several months, but it made him feel like a degenerate so he quit.
Two beatable sports that aren't WNBA:
1. CFB
2. Tennis

Never said I was a sportsbetting pro, arse frick.
this run is absolutely insane. There is simply no balance.
I've never experienced anything close to this in years of live/online poker.

Bad beat stories never get old for me. That is a ridic run. The only thing that really makes me go apeshite is the horrible officiating in college football, the one sport I have a prayer of winning some money.
Stanford getting the TD and a 2 to cover in triple OT against USC last year is what made me sit down a for a while. Spurrier running out of the end zone against Mississippi State to kill a cover on the last play was also difficult to stomach.
I don't know how anyone can bet NFL. It's difficult enough to pick them straight up.

I hate this thread so much. GHAZI you can't beat the sportsbook. Period. Short run you can make money but such a small % of people win in the long run its rediculous. I've read the estimate on that figure around 10%. I don't know what is worse. Hearing someone bitch about all their terrible losses in sports bets, hearing a bad beat story (So I had Ace King and he called with blah blah blah 2 outer etc etc etc how can he stay in then on the river it was a....STFU) or hearing about someone's fantasy football team.
All 3 forms of bitching are terrible. Do yourself and your friends a favor and stop. If you haven't already, read "The Smart Money" by Michael Konig. So much terrible, irrational thought in this thread about gambling in general it's laughable. WNBA ftw

After last night I have considered quitting as well! BG Duke blow it on dickhead moves! And Jesus UCLA you could have put up some effort. If I don't win the ULM game today I'm taking a hiatus and going to Harrahs to play 3 card poker I usually do very well in there.
