I miss the BCS for this simple season

A loss in the regular season hurts real bad. Now, the pain is like an 6 out of 10. If we still have the bcs, we could cross off Texas or not think about them playing for a national title after today. Either that or Send them way way in the back of the line. Don’t even talk about jumping the line unless everyone has 2 losses. But with 2 or even 3 losses, they will get in the playoffs. I don’t know about you but a 3 loss national champions doesn’t sound right in college football.
Sure every now and then a team gets stiffed with the BCS. But at least we a more meaningful season. Now we’re having a system to include everyone for the sake of “fairness”. But it had come at the expense of bastardizing the regular season.

Yep. Each game was so much more tense knowing 1 loss could end national championship hopes. Then you watched other games rooting for David against Goliath to hope your team would be able to be back in the mix.
Now, even with 2 losses, you’re like meh, we still have a shot. It’s not nearly as fun.

Lmao the SEC earned and proved how much better they were than everyone else by beating the absolute dogshit out of them in the national title games and bowl games. Big 10 may have won a couple titles in a row but as a whole the conference still can’t hold a candle to the overall strength of the SEC. It’s a top heavy 2 team league while the SEC is 10 deep

Fairness doesn’t have a damn thing to do with it, this is about MONEY.
Dennis Dodd of CBS at the end of a very long tweet about why this expansion is a good thing guarantees that within 10 years it will be at 32 because they will need the revenue to pay the players because the bill in Congress that everyone was salivating about is doornail dead.
That’s the point where I may bug out.
