EA should just take out the players who want to bitch... They can update it online and completely remove them.

I kind of agree. It's absolutely weird to me how a bunch of 25-45 year old men are following 15-17 year olds around via social media and message boards. It's also weird that many of these kids who came from nothing are so quick to dismiss the value of the scholarships they're getting. Not to mention the fact so many have like 3 kids before their junior year of college. It's just so much of a sham now. So, my passion for college football is waning considerably.

college baseball used to be awesome, but these bats have turned it into a pathetic game. It's like watching a bunch of 9 year olds play on a large field. Just a bunch of waiting for walks and errors.

I can't stand basketball, so no opinion on that.

I guess I'm starting to like the professional sports more and give less of a shite about the college sports. I'm probably more of a MLB fan more than anything else.

you're gonna have tons of peckerheads on here defend the whole process and tell you to GTFO but at the end of the day the "process" is becoming more glorified for these kids than it was in the past

i won't ever turn from college football but in no way is it as pure as it was 14 years ago

Why not just pay players? Why is your enjoyment diminished by the players on the field getting fair compensation for the value they create? I thought America believed in capitalism.

Edit: Seriously OP, you are defending EA, which is a company made up almost entirely of giant dbs that are refusing to pay fair compensation for the use of player likenesses. Why should the players give shite to EA for free?

i wouldn't say straight up pay the players from the university, but if they're jersey will sell let them go out like a normal company and obtain trademark rights yadda yadda yadda, and all their earnings can be given to them when they either graduate or leave for nfl

This problem started with me when EA announced that it would no longer make college football games due to former players wanting to be compensated for the likeness of game characters after them even though no names were used. Millions and millions of people were fans of that game and because of the millions it cost EA, they decided it just wasn't worth making college football games anymore

This whole topic is retarded if the above is what is influencing your desire to follow college football.

I don't get this. I love the CFB video games, but I'll be damned if it stops me from watching the real thing.

College football lost it's soul years ago when it sold it to ESPN.

What made college football great is gone.

Now it is simply another professional football league.

I probably won't quit watching it. It's just losing it's luster to me and judging by the emptying out of stadiums around the country, I am not alone.

no.

I think people are just getting lazier and staying at home.

HD TV is a most excellent choice.

Yes.

and its a choice of a new generation.

Nothing wrong with that I guess.

Some people don't want to pay a lot to go and sit in the sweltering heat for a game in the months of September or October I guess.

there is no wrong choice here IMO. Going to the game is badass but staying at home is more relaxing.
