Nebraska’s fall from the top is both amusing and sad at the same time. There was a clear cut avenue to follow and remain relevant for their program but they chose aesthetics and style over substance. It’s happened elsewhere, don’t get me wrong, Nebraska just seemed to be a more practical program. With Osborn around for so long it really is crazy that they’ve continued to commit program suicide over and over again.

Playing 3 top 5 teams, 4 top 25 in 1st 5 weeks is easy as hell.

Moos shouldn't have come out and said that. Good or bad, he speaks what's on his mind without filter.
I think that quote gets taken a little out of context, though, if you listen to his whole statement. Moos was saying this year was the perfect time to talk about how the B1G schedules crossover games. TV partners have a large say in the matchups. Moos brought that Nebraska routinely has one of the toughest crossover schedules. For example, since joining the B1G, Nebraska has been scheduled against OSU 8 times while Iowa has only had to play them twice.
Whatever, that's a fight for another day. Time for football.

Crossovers are on a rotation. They were locked between 2016-21, so I’m not sure what Bill Moos wanted the B1G to do. Ohio State was Nebraska’s protected crossover, hence the disparity in games played. This will change in 2022 — Ohio State will be Wisconsin’s protected crossover, but it’s currently Michigan. In 2022, it’ll be Nebraska/Michigan.
