I hated Byron Houston or Julius Michalek more than anyone in Big 8/12 history
Michalek was at Iowa State for 99 years it seemed
Houston was just a thug with elbows that flew
I think Rich King at Nebraska was the biggest Big 8 tool though.

Basically if you were white, seemed like you were at hated college forever, hit big shots, elbows and/or cheap shots, or looked weird/different

The three who stand out for me are Greivis Vasquez, Steve Blake, and Hansbrough.

I didn't mind him but Julius Hodge was really hated around the triangle, as was McCants. At Duke, Sean May got a lot of shite but mostly bc he was fat. The most derision was reserved for guys like Hansbrough, Nik Caner-Medley, and Vasquez.

I did like Juan Dixon, Mccants, Hodge
For Duke: I liked Langden, Singler, Scheyer and Redick

Holy shite actually Marcus smart put together an absolutely unbelievable season of hate last year. Probably my most hated single season of hate I have ever had.
The biggest flopping bitch I have ever seen. Just egregious to the point of absurdity. What a fricker.

Agree... I always liked him... The Larry Bird of his day in college but even better....
I loved Duke back then...UMTIL....The UK game when he stepped on the UK player and was allowed to stay in the game... Any UK player steppig on him and they are gone for at least one extra game yet HE got to stay in the game... I have hated Duke ever since and say the thi ngs I have always said about them... They ge away with more calls than any other team and its not even close............

No, he's stating an opinion. Rose sounds bitter and is coming across like a bitch. Nobody knows if the refs would have thrown anyone out for the step in an important game like that. We just know they didn't throw Laettner out.

Ok, finished watching and Jalen redeemed himself a little bit at the end, but the whining was getting tiring early on.
Also a CSB, I was a bouncer at a strip club in SF and Laettner came there one night. I walked him in with no cover and later he came outside and we chatted for a good 10 minutes. He was a really cool guy and humble.

I mean Laettner was better in college then almost anyone I am seeing named. If we are talking College then IMO he is a top 5 player ever if you look at his entire package. Combine that with he was a white guy with an attitude and played for DUKE......stayed all 4 years......I mean we aren't going to see that again. You can't compare JJ Reddicks and Phycho Ts to that guy......they weren't on his level even if they had the attitude. Which they didn't

I do miss hating the entire Plumlee family. Were there like 8 of those guys? It seemed like an endless Duke pipeline. I haven't quite adopted any Big Ten hatreds yet because, well, I like Sparty a lot like every hoops fan, and hating Wisconsin is really about hating Bo Ryan. Kamisky seems like such a goofy dude, I can't really hate him. Probably Yogi Ferrell is the only Big Ten player I hate, on general Indiana-ness. Moving conferences is tough.
Why can't we still be in the ACC so I can hate Pat Connaughton? Because, screw Notre Dame, that's why.
