Nebraska doesn’t wield a whole lot of power outside Nebraska. They need to just go back to the Big 12.

And I honestly believe that the Big 10 would immediately call Cincinnati of that happens to put them in their place.

A conference that needs CU to be its second anchor is in trouble.

What sport does Colorado excel in these days? Joint rolling?

Ain’t in football and I don’t believe it is in basketball.

Nobody's following Nebraska anywhere.

You expect Colorado and Utah to leave the Conference of Champions for some newfangled "Great American Conference" full of schools that aren't even Major Research Institutions and awful academic prestige and also awful at all the other sports?

When it comes to the full canopy of all sports and academic reputation, Utah and Colorado hit the jackpot. They're not going back to the shitty WAC days.

Also, every school would know that if they a lesser Conference with Nebraska, Nebraska would expect that they were big dog and could tell everyone what to do.

It's Nebraska big beef with the B1G now; they can't stand being 3rd, 4th or 5th fiddle in the Conference with no political sway.

Utah possibly could leave.

Utah is happy with its automatic NY6 Bowl Bid if they win the conference

Why would you leave an already established P5 conference with an auto bid into a NY6 bowl for a G5 conference where you’d have to finish at a certain ranking to get a NY6 bowl

Oh for fricks sake, stop it.

Colorado wanted to get rid of the rednecks of the Big8/12, and be with the liberal elites of the pac12. And you think they want to go into a conference with even shittier teams and other redenecks?

fricking stop it

OP

Are you aware of how big the checks are that Nebraska cashes courtesy of the big 10?

Are you aware of the teeny tiny checks Nebraska would cash in your scenario?

Now redo your original post.

Exactly this. Joining the Pac-whatever was Colorado's wet dream for the last 30 years. It wouldn't have mattered what their conference looked like. Once the Pac invited them, they would have bolted without batting an eye.
