re: How would XFL teams stack up against the best college teams?

I don’t believe the old argument that an nfl team would utterly destroy a great LSU or Alabama team. Maybe in the past when college athletics didn’t have as much money and the strength, conditioning, nutrition, technology Etc wasn’t nearly what it is in the nfl. But today, the programs I mentioned have tremendous depth, you see them putting out players into the league year in and year out who are making an impact instantly. I just don’t buy it. Also, the offensive game plans in the nfl are becoming more and more similar to what you see in college
At the end of the day any professional team would still have the advantage over any college team because 100% of the players on the professional team are good enough to be paid for their talents and that's not the case for the college team.

Well you should. An NFL O line would physically dominate even the best college defensive lines...and vice versa.

Could be closer but more developed, experienced players would beat out a top tier CFB team.
College teams would possibly have an advantage given the tenure and continuity of coaching/scheme.

Negligible at best. Scheme doesn’t matter if one team can run the ball at will AND disrupt your offense with four.

Agree on the lines having a big advantage and ultimately the difference in the games. But I don’t think it would be the 50 point blowout many say it would be. I think a recent great Alabama or LSU team could keep it within 20

From somebody that has worked in minor league baseball.... There are literally 18U travel baseball teams that would give some A Ball team fits.
ETA
JUCO teams come play some minor league teams in spring training and absolutely embarrass them.
Post less.

A Bama-type team might be able to luck into a win over an XFL team like the Vipers or Bengals, but would never really stand a chance against any other team. These XFL teams have holes in some positions but a lot of their players have NFL experience and years on college athletes...

I think so
Some of these teams aren't jsut NFl cast off but guys who were barely playing on College teams.
And believe it or not, not everyone gets better with age. A lot of post prime guys .

Yes
The best college teams have numerous people that will be playing on Sunday.
These XFL teams have players that bombed in the nfl, at the back half of their playing career or went undrafted.

Both great players but they both got burned by college players last years.

2019 LSU might not have been the best team in college football.

Correct, OP chose the most recent national champion. Seems reasonable.

I am pretty confident that burrow would be the best QB in this league.
I think the rare talent rich + great QB college team would belong on the field.

You are delusional. You actually think the worst team from the Florida State League, the California League, the Appalachian League, the Pioneer League, the Midwest League, and even the New York Penn League would get beat by a JUCO team.

I thought it was a legit question and something that crossed my mind yesterday.
I’m guessing these XFL teams would be somewhere among the better CFB teams. Just my guess

Forget everything you think you know, and take our word for this one.
