The receivers are atrocious, and I think that is a big part of it. Has been since last year.
Gronk is really good, but he's been largely limited to the red-zone as he works his way through injuries. Nobody else has any size or speed. That means no targets downfield and no deep threats.... really limits an offense.

Our interior line has been neglected for years, and it's coming home to roost. Brady also needs to quit being a damn prima donna with these young WRs. Dobson NEEDS to see the field, I don't care if he only runs streaks, he's the only WR on the roster capable of being a true deep threat.
On the defensive side, it makes no sense to put together a roster of pure press man to man corners and have them play off coverage.
