I rarely watch a baseball game during the regular season but do watch a good bit of it when playoffs roll around.

Basketball you can have. It doesn't interest me in the least.

Football, especially the pros are so full of BS drama, and like mentioned, the constant rule changes that it is hard to watch sometimes. However, college ball, and being from SEC territory, is still a great way to spend some time on a Saturday on the sofa with cold beer.

Boxing, once my favorite sport to watch, is now watered down with the alphabet soup of ruling organizations, each with their own champions. Not only that, but years ago there were only 8 divisions in boxing, now there's 17, each with their own champion. Then throw in the fact some champions cherry pick their opponents so they are pretty much guaranteed a win and it gets old.

MMA/UFC is fun at times, but when they get into all that nut-hugging on the ground stuff it gets old and boring real fast.

I'm a big darts fan/player and love watching the best in the world compete in the PDC at their sponsored events. I do, however, find it hard to call things like darts and billiards a sport and think of them more as games of high skill played at the professional level. But I will watch more of them than baseball or basketball.

Same here. NFL and NBA have deteriorated so much I don’t watch much of either anymore. Both have become a tiresome soap opera that needs to fade away. When there is more banter about off the field crap or “where will X UFA sign” while the season is still in progress then I’m out. I tried listening to ESPN Radio on the morning of the Super Bowl. And for 10 minutes at least more Antonio Brown lies and fake apologies were on. I just turned the dial to something else. Yawn.

The NFL blows because of Roger Goodell.

Baseball was awesome for me growing up. Played it until i was 18. Watched the Braves and Cubs a lot on TV growing up. Wish I had focused on basebaLL more than football in HS looking back.

Basketball- lost interest in the sport mid 90's. College and Pro.

FOOTBALL - the constant drama surrounding the NFL is annoying. The rule changes have sucked life out of the excitement for me. College ball is great, can’t get enough.

the NFL isn't as good as it use to be I agree. But I still watch it more than any other league.

College ball was great growing up for me but i feel like it has gone off course in recent years. I still watch it but it isn't the same to me. For those that can honestly say it isn't different no matter what your favorite sport well hats off to you.

Sports lose their power over time. Primarily a college age obsession, ergo the obsession over College Football.

College tailgates have college kids and old fart alumnus trying to relive their College days. That's primarily the target audience and normal fanbase in a normal world.

If you're a 40 year old man with a mortgage and kids and not an alumnus crying over Alabama - you've got problems.

There was a famous writer who wrote about spending his teen years listening to every Giants baseball game on the radio with his Dad. Hours upon hours all season long and he realized when he was an adult, what a goddamn waste of time.

He could've been doing so much other things with his Dad instead of listening to baseball games of the NY Giants.

Following sports can be a good thing, it keeps you young.

But...

You're still just a fan, a nobody to the team.

Acting like a sports win or defeat or Championship means all that much (especially Pro Sports) is sort of sad. You didn't win the Championship and no one on the team cares about you and it didn't change your life for the better...except to pump your fist - because yeah, I identify with you...even though you don't know me.

I find baseball and basketball less dramatic than football on account of the number of games played. Every week in football in high drama but not so with the other two.

I have a theory on this, but everyone would call me a tin foil wearer.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but for different reasons. While Goodell has the NFL as popular as it has ever been, the product is really going to shite. However, the new fans he is bringing in won't care, so nothing will change.

I'll leave it at that.
