What ever happened to the weekly golf threads? I rarely would post, but I enjoyed reading.

We got out of hand.
Well, I did. I ruined it. I'm sorry. I apologize.
If they ever let us have another one, I'll keep the jargon out of it, and contribute with info instead of bragging about my strength and agility.

Again, sorry guys.

Irrelevant. The course will lose money and bleed out either quickly, or over time. The point is that not having a driving range is a kiss of death for that course

you tell that to the homeowners....

i agree they need a range, but no way they are approving another mil to be spent.
Look, my buddy makes plenty of money to be able to afford it. the other guys i know there do as well, but you can't believe that they would pay $2000-$2500 in HOAs a year on top of mortgage and insurance...

You are as close anybody has been about Coppermill. I'm not the gm on what's going on. We all have opinions and ideas on things that need to be done, changed. That's very known. Its the hoa and the previous owner that has the range screwed up. We at Coppermill can't do anything about the range. It was the GM's idea for the warmup area just to have something since the range went bye bye. So, I say it was a good idea to do something. I voiced my opinion on the warmup area but maintenance can't make that call. I said it should be free and the superintendent suggested hit real balls into a net.

The hoa dues were $500 before they bought the course. They agreed to $1500 a year for 3 or 5 years, not sure which one to pay for the $1.2 millionish they paid for the property. I'm not positive but I thought someone said the membership that the hoa has to get is included with their dues and they are still $1500 a year but I'm not positive. I'll have to ask to confirm.
