Veron Davis has been the subject of double coverage nearly the entire second half of the season; hence crabtree has 600+ yards and 6 tds in his last six games.
I would say Veron Davis + Delanie Walker > Tony G and his backup.
49ers Advantage
OL
TE
DL
LB
DB
P
Falcons Advantage
WR
K
Push
QB

Honest answer? Because they don't play in the NFC South.

Yeah, on second thought more a push. Frank Gore is playing well, but he doesn't have the burst that he used to have. I like him better than Turner at this point, but Turner looked real good against one of the most phyiscal defenses.
If the 49ers till had Hunter I would give them the advantage, but right now I feel Rodgers > LaMichael James.

Then why the frick Is sf traveling to Atlanta on Sunday? How are thy not 16-0 with that ridiculous team?
Because they are like the Heat and just going through the motions until the Playoffs.

How do you guys see the Falcons line doing in run blocking? We all know they will have their hands full with the pass blocking.

Not well honestly. They have had a hard time running all season and going against probably the best front 7 in the league. That said they had a lot of success yesterday against a stout run D so maybe they can do it again.

I was about to ask about the Falcons o-line. Your oline looked really good against a physical Dline this last Sunday.
I don't think the Falcons will have success running on the outside as the 49ers have elite speed at the LB position. I think they can have some success on the inside given Justin Smith's injury.

Safeties are equal if not better than SEA, corners are less talented.
I'd say the SF safeties are a good bit better. They are legit. I think they are going to beat up the Falcons receivers and backs sorta like they did to the Saints.

They're plenty good enough but bolstered by an elite pass rush. I see Plenty of dump offs in this game to Rodgers and Tony.
Definitely. Ryan loves the dump off and check downs which he will need to to a lot of to avoid the rush.

And Willis and Bowmen love baiting QBs into the dumpoff plays.
This game will come down to if five Atlanta Olinemen can stop four SF pass rushers.

They might prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

This game will hinge on the protection of Matt Ryan. SF has the best d-line in the league and the best safeties in the league. Ryan will have to be perfect to beat them and I just cant see it.
This game could be just as ugly as the gb beatdown

How was Justin Smith in the Packers game? Was he able to hold to allow Aldon Smith to stunt and get pressure?

1st half GB had like 10 plays. Niner offense dominated TOP so Justin Smith and his "holding" werent really a factor. Aldon Smith hasnt gotten pressure on a QB in weeks. Luckily we dont rely on 1 single player to rush the passer.

That's a decet reason. Such a shitty division. Unfortunately the NFC west sucks just as much so it doesn't hold up entirely too well.
Posted on 1/14/13 at 3:54 pm to rockchlkjayhku11
NFC west had 2 teams in the playoffs. Barring another Atl miracle it would have been a NFC west Championship game. AZ sucks. Having SF and SEA definitely makes "sucks as much" laugable.

Uh, the West was the best division in football this year.
