Why would they move from Indianapolis

Think people forget the BTT has interchanged between Chicago and Indianapolis. Either way, the BTT will be back in the Midwest for the next four years between 2019-2022.

Get pounded by 40? You must not be watching. Rutgers is 2-0 in the B1G Tourney. Beat Minnesota and Indiana.

Corey Sanders had himself a game. He's pretty inefficient, in general, but he's fun to watch.

telling the entire conference to go frick itself

To be fair, they're telling Nebraska (nearly 1200 miles from NY) to go frick itself over twice as hard as Michigan (515 miles) or Michigan State (588 miles)

Yeah can we see the directional pole for that one where all but 4 point southeast?

New Yorkers are the most myopic, self-centered pricks on the planet.

So what do we do? Kiss their arse and beg them to like us! Go ahead. It's not like their ego needs to be fed any more or anything.

I see you still haven't figured out how big markets work.

They moved it there because there's 8.5 million people there. Whether it works or not, we'll see, but it's a money grab for sure.

I totally understand. But my god--every god damned event doesn't have to be in New York City. It's tired and lazy thinking. New York's BIG, so we will go there and everyone will pay attention to us and we will make a frickton of money?

Stop acting like television and marketing is a science. If these clowns actually knew what they were doing, then why are there so many colossal failures even up to today? They have no clue what they're doing--evidenced by the tired, forumaic

basketball
New York City
?????????????
Profit

crap we get this week.

The NBA is thriving right now WITHOUT a contender in NYC, right? But how many times do we hear the tired argument that "The NBA is better when there's a good team in New York City?"

Better money wise. The nba is thriving but would be thriving more with a good New York team. Just look back to linsanity a few years back:

quote:

In any event, fans can’t seem to get enough of Lin and his “Lincredible” underdog success story. Since he started his magical run on February 4, Lin’s #17 jersey has been the NBA’s best seller. Yahoo! Sports also reports that since Linsanity surfaced, Knicks merchandise sales have been tops in the NBA, sports stores in midtown Manhattan have sold out multiple shipments of Lin gear, the Knicks have jacked up ticket prices by 27%, and the stock price of the team ownership (Madison Square Garden Co.) has risen 6.2%.

It should always be in Chicago (just like the ACCT in Charlotte and the SECT in Atlanta).

Who wants to tap into the St. Louis market? hopefully it’s the first and last time the tourney is held there.

I guess the SEC

I suppose if you are going to have a conference team in Missouri, you may as well add a city in that state to the rotation. I think they are going back to Nashville for 7 of the next 8 tournaments. It looks like the SEC threw the women a bone by letting them have Nashville this year.

He dominated the 2nd half last night, great comeback win.

Jim Delany said he regrets pushing the BTT up a week earlier and it sounds like they will use Chicago/Indianapolis "80 percent" of the time and, I would assume, DC/NYC the other "20 percent."

To me it should be in Chicago 75% of the time. That is B1G country, a bit city for hoops talent and a good city to bring people into. The other 25% should be DC/NYC I think. Indy is good for the B1G title game for football

You can't leave Greensboro off the ACCT rotation.
Charlotte and Greensboro should host Tourney 70% of the time. D.C. , ATL and ocassiobaly NYC the rest

Is the Greensboro Coliseum still around?
Atlanta would be good too. I know they had it there once in the Omni.

That reminds me, it's equally as stupid to have the ACCT in Brooklyn.
