Got to give it up to the guy. He has been trying to better himself over the years, seems like a great guy, trying to better his image.

He was on Conan tonight, showed him with Evander in a clip, and got over the whole ear thing. I think Mike made a real turning point in his life a few years ago, he could have went downhill hard, and he did at one point, but he has been on the upswing and is a genuine and really funny guy. I like him, a lot.

Happy for him.

Being honest..

7 or 8 years ago..
I was worried that Mike wouldnt make it to 2013. It just seemed like it would end tragically for him.

He's now a funny, charismatic dude.

I kinda feel the same way. He obviously had some demons that used to get the best of him, but from what I've seen the past couple of years, he's been able to pull himself out of that downward spiral. Good for him, even if it took a bunch of pigeons to help him.

Exactly, he has been through a lot, and he is coming back up on top, seems like a great guy, happy for him. And I love seeing more of him.

When he was younger, the Cus D'Amato years and a few after, he was somewhat normal...even shy and aloof. Once he got with married the chick and got with king shite went downhill.

I'm glad he's doing well. He was a hell of a boxer.

One of my favorite athletes.
There was nothing more exciting than a Tyson fight.
Glad he's doing well and he really is a funny guy.

I like the guy. Obviously has had some issues, but seems to have overcome them. Seems to be a nice guy.

If I remember correctly this is where it really hit the fan for his downhill turn.

I think he finally sobered up. He was definitely on death pool watch list for a while.

He was on stern recently. Great interview. He was talking about seeing somebody on the street with a face tattoo and thinking, 'damn, that dude must be crazy as frick."

Why were you worried about someone you never met?

A shite TON of people is Mike's situation never turned it around. He was young, famous and rich and when the fame washed away he did what most do and go nuts. But I have a lot of respect for him for turning stuff around. Even though he's sort of a joke now, he plays off of it b/c that's the only to keep himself relevant.

In my mind he sure is. He always looked like he wanted to kill the other guy. Was ridiculous.

He was never really normal. He did a lot of robbing as a juvenile to fit in. Product of his environment. He was in multiple juvenile centers and met a Boxing trainer Bobby Stewart while in one of these centers, which then introduced Mike to Cus.

I'm reading his book now "Undisputed Truth". Basically goes through his whole life in lots of details. It's crazy the stuff he has seen and been through. I recommend reading it.
