He threw for 350 yds in 37-31 win. I'm not going to call it an awful game because he didn't have a bunch of 1 yard TD passes that you guys overvalue so much.
Dude you said he carried the team when he had a very sub par game with two turnovers

This is the thing, Brady is all time great, but people tend to mis-remember alot

Some of the takes on this board are just hilariously stupid.

People act like the entire game wasn’t saved by Julian Edelman making an insane catch an inch off the ground in triple coverage.

Great throw Tom.

It was an amazing meltdown by the Falcons. Brady was great, but the Falcons had the game won if they don't go full retard. They were in FG range, and instead of just running the ball they try throwing and end up going backwards.

I just get rustled personally by TD/Int as some revealing plus minus stat. He didn't throw five picks. As long as a guy is moving his team, not turning it over a bunch and winning, who cares how the last play of a drive turns out? Is his performance that much different if he had a couple of short TD passes for the stat sheet? I will give you the point on the rushing numbers. I did not know they were near 200.

Gretzky is the greatest player in a team sport in history and it’s not close.....

The shel311 response to this is if he was so great, he wouldn't have been down 28-3 in the first place.
Nah, that's not my response.

But he did throw I believe it was 3 balls right into the hands of Falcons DBs in the 4th quarter, all 3 were drops.

and then some people seem to forget David tyree exists. You can’t have it both ways.

I seem to remember when we did this thread before, you or pride made the point that you have to take into account how bad he was to put them in a 28-3 hole, which I think has some validity.

Brady was pretty damn meh that game, so if they would have won it would have been due to the defense, but yes, he would have gotten all the credit

29/48--266 yards--1 td--offense scored 14 total points

I'll put it this way, if he played a big part in that, then I definitely agree and probably did say that.

But at this point today, I don't recall too much about how they got in the hole, honestly didn't remember a pick 6 that was pointed out in this thread, so that's just a function of my old man memory going on me.

Do they simply put it ALL on the falcons ineptness?

Shanahan's fault for not running the damn ball. Quinn's fault for not telling Shanahan to run the fricking ball.

my point was if your gonna start saying the falcons super bowl comeback doesn’t count as credit to his greatness then, neither does the giants win over them in that super bowl. And In that case, let’s say neither of those insane catches are made then In that case Tom doesn’t have the greatest super bowl comeback to his name, he just has the second only undefeated season in nfl history. I mean he’s top 5 all time in every major passing category so by statistics alone he’s one of the all time greats. He has more championships than the majority of franchises in the league which although not everything, has to have some weight to it. And on top of that we tend to forget he also quarterbacked one of the greatest single seasons in NFL history as well. There isn’t too many points you can make that can’t be refuted.

Just once in his career (2012 ARI) has Brady lost a game after a clutch FG was missed. It’s happened to Brees 10 times, or more than Manning (six) and Brady combined once again.
