Add to take it further they never have any entries in any winter sport of notes in Torval and Dean the ice dancers. Or eddie the Eagle.

I am 5’8” so I just assume everyone is taller. But seriously I’d like an answer because there are 60 million of those SOBs and they never even qualify for basketball - They imported and the entire team when they host of the Olympics in 2012.

And RIP Neil Fingleton. Legit sadness.

i mean its pretty obvious. its the same situation that we have with soccer. they just simply do not care about the sport in any way shape or form so they dont even begin to try

They play it.

I have a Brother-in-law who is a Brit.

There are playgrounds all over their schoolyards with basketball hoops. But as a spectator sport, it was never embraced.

It's our version of soccer...we all played it in Youth.

But left it there for the most part.

The US is far more successful in soccer then England is in basketball. But you bring up a point basketball viewing is not even successful in England, but is hugely successful in Europe and most of Asia.

There are probably 500,000 Americans living in greater London area, Which is enough to generate thought of NFL games played there at Wembley but nothing for hoops.

They invented most of the sports we play. They’ve no need for anyone else’s games.

Not even remotely close to true. Probably in the taller half of nations

English are a pretty equal mix of Anglo-Saxons(germanic tribes who were huge) and the norman invaders(french/latins who were small by american standards but not compared to asians or even legit mediterranians.)

Scandinavians are big. Asians/middle easterners/mediterranians are small. Those are the extremes of the spectrum. England is closer to the germanic tribes.

I would guess the english are, on average, 1-2 inches tallwr than italians and 3-4 inches taller than asians.
